杉德卡斯特海灘酒店(Sandcastle Hotel on the Beach)

Everything was amazing didn’t pay for an ocean view but still had a beautiful view!

The hotel is in a wonderful property. Clean and excellent location. Staff is attentive and polite. The room we were in #207 was in an odd location at the end of the hallway. You had to go thru a door at the end of the hall which lead outside to room 207 on the left,directly across from a stairway that went door the back to the parking lot. Very noisy as people came and went. Plus the door to our bathroom needed to be trimmed as tile floor had a high spot and door took effort to close it. A chair in our room was broken. All those things can be fixed we reported it to Richard at the front desk. We would stay again just not in any that room.

It was ok (ish). I just wish the receptionist wasn’t speaking with me so fast like as if she was trying to get rid of me, im a foreigner and had to ask couple time how to get to my room. Room was clean but we found a giant potato bug on the floor next to our bed! Yayks! And in shower there isn’t a border to prevent water from leaking out- its just even flood- so water went all ove the floor. The only thing we enjoyed was beach near us.

We needed a place to stay while dropping our daughter off at Cal Poly, and I didn't even look at pictures or read reviews. I just looked at the price and availability and reserved it. What a wonderful surprise to discover it was right on the beach, with updated decor and amenities, and shops and restaurants just steps away. I especially loved the fireplaces, fire pits and luxurious lounge furniture all with amazing beach/ocean views. We've decided this is our go to place every time we come to see our daughter.

I like the fire pits on the deck, great ambience. The rooms are clean and the decor is updated though there still appears to be water damage on bathroom door and moulding. Room was advertised as having robes as an amenity but I had to ask for it. It costs extra for parking, early check in and late check out. Small bottled water is $4 and the “Deck” bar/ restaurant is very slow and limited in offerings. The staff however was very friendly and accommodating.

The room was beautiful, all it needed was a microwave. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the pillows wow! The partial view was excellent sitting on the full size balcony! Location was the best of the best! You could walk anywhere within minutes. Staff was outstanding 👏 The Deck was awesome. Next time ill get the full experience with full ocean views so worth it!

Location is great as it’s beachfront and walkable to pier, restaurants, shopping, a play area for kids and a huge beach to enjoy. Hotel has cute beachy decor. Rooms are nice with big screen TV for when you want to relax and beds are comfortable. Towels are nice and soft. The chaise is also a nice touch along with a small frig. We love the fire pits but the cushions are a little flat. A nice touch to guests would be to offer complimentary s’mores ingredients instead of charging $15 for a small bag. On-site restaurant called The Deck is convenient but could use more staff as service is slow and food could use improvement for the price you pay compared to portions given. We stayed here before but checked out other hotels we may try on future trips.
