All in all, it’s the best property on the island.
1. The only drawback with the rooms is that the bathroom area is separated from the bedroom and that area has no air-conditioning. the bathroom area is just sweltering hot.
2. The beach is beautiful, but this resort, like all the others that face East has fallen prey to the black plague of the sargassum, sea****. They literally send half a dozen guys out every morning to remove a dozen dump truck loads of the stuff from the beach but by the time they get to the end of the beach, the day is over and it is already started to accumulate back behind them where they started in the morning. It’s just a nightmare and the smell is Like rotting fish. It’s just awful. And the stench sometimes permeates the entire property. But the resort was the only resort on the island even made an attempt at cleaning it up. in seven days, we never saw a single person use the beach, due to the smell of the sea****.
3. The food and the drinks are really good but about double the price you would pay anywhere else on the island. My suggestion is to rent a Golf cart, and explore all the dining places. The best for us was Rum Dog right on the water.
4. The town of San Pedro is simply not very nice. Compared to a St. Kitts or St. Barts. It’ a slum with only handful of restaurants that are worth eating at.
5. We are done spending our hard-earned money on resorts that are subject to the sea**** plague which is now bigger than the entire US cont.
