My recent stay at the Blue Tang Inn was largely a pleasant one, with a few key areas that could use improvement. The inn’s staff truly shine, exhibiting warm hospitality throughout our stay. The premises are well-maintained and the rooms are comfortable, with a lovely view to boot. Their breakfast was quite enjoyable and the housekeeping service was thorough and efficient. Unfortunately, we had a few issues during our stay. The most concerning was the presence of cockroaches and ants in our room. This, for obvious reasons, negatively affected our comfort and overall enjoyment of the room. Additionally, there were some communication issues with the staff. In one instance, a taxi that we booked through the hotel was informed to pick us up much later than what we had arranged (6:15am vs 6:30am and I confirmed tiger the hotel they asked the driver came at6:15 am but the driver said the hotel asked him to come at 6:30am) resulting in an unnecessary rush to the airport (our flight is at 7am). We also experienced another miscommunication when the hotel didn't seem to receive an update about our early arrival from the airline. (Not sure it is hotel fault or the tropical airline fault) Finally, while not a major concern, the pool was smaller than we'd expected, which was a bit disappointing. While most of our stay was enjoyable, these issues did put a damper on the overall experience. I hope the management at the Blue Tang Inn will address these concerns to ensure future guests have a seamless and comfortable stay.

We stayed in room #9 (2nd floor, king bed, balcony, ocean view) and had everything we could possibly need. Beds and pillows were comfy, and A/C was such a welcome gift every time we opened our door. The whole hotel felt clean and quiet, despite close proximity to a loud bar (Palapa! live music and so fun), public walkway, and some busy streets. It was easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and anything else we needed. On a whim we went out on the hotel's sailboat, Sirena Azul, for their sunset cruise. What a fantastic experience! Beautiful tour of Ambergris Caye by boat, along with drinks, fresh ceviche, and sunset. The hotel staff helped us arrange taxi transportation from the airport. They were also helpful with directions, tips, and maps. They provide clean beach towels as needed. And once they found out we were celebrating our 10th anniversary, our room was decorated with flowers, balloons, and a note. Totally unnecessary, but proving that this charming hotel is super personal and they make you feel like you belong. Breakfast in the morning was hot each day, homemade by a staff member. We also enjoyed fresh fruit and hot coffee. It was the perfect jump-start before adventures. The pool was meticulously cleaned daily, and always the perfect temperature. We noted a security guard a night, ensuring the safety of the hotel and guests. We would not hesitate to return if given another chance to visit beautiful Belize.

I highly recommend Blue Tang Inn. All of the staff were kind and friendly. I loved having breakfast included, and enjoyed my morning coffee at a picnic table overlooking the ocean. The rooms were very clean and towels and garbages changed daily if wished. The location was perfect- facing the ocean, walkable to the heart of San Pedro, yet we had perfect sleeps in our quiet room. I loved glimpsing local life, with school kids walking by Blue Tang weekday mornings, and kids playing soccer with flip-flop goals on the sand in the evening. It was nice having a kitchen to cook, prepare or reheat food if we wished. The pool by the ocean was perfect- nice lounge chairs and we often had the pool to ourselves as Blue Tang Inn is a quaint size. There is an awesome rooftop patio and colourful artwork throughout the Inn. I wish I knew everyone's name because I just loved the staff but shout outs to Daisy for breakfast and housekeeping, Isela and Robert at the front desk, Victor keeping us safe on night shift, and Fanny for managing a great place.

I returned to Ambergris Caye and decided to stay near downtown San Pedro this time as opposed to one of the remote resorts we stayed in on previous trips. After extensive research, I chose the Blue Tang Inn and am very glad I did. This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Ambergris Caye. Centrally located, close to the best restaurants in San Pedro and located on the waterfront, this well-kept inn was an ideal place to rest up a relax after beautiful, long days exploring the caye. The staff is friendly, welcoming and professional and always available to assist. All of my requests were tended to immediately and graciously including booking a day-sail on their own vintage sailboat to snorkeling spots at Hol Chon. The whole experience could not have been easier. Even though The Blue Tang Inn is located in the heart of San Pedro, once you step onto the property a sense of privacy and calm takes hold. The rooms are spotless, quiet and comfortable, and stocked with everything I needed. Breakfast is served on the patio dining area each morning overlooking the water and I enjoyed a wide variety of offerings paired with exceptional coffee. Blue Tang is now our go-to spot on Ambergris and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Great location in the centre and has a sea front available. Small breakfast available each morning which is included. Rooms are great with plenty of facilities. Staff very friendly and helpful with any queries. We also booked the sunset boat trip through the hotel which was enjoyable. Would stay here again.

We were traveling with a group attending a large music event and found the Blue Tang Inn to be in a perfect location! We were able to walk to most of the events, restaurants, ferry and more. And just a short walk straight out to the "World Famous" Palapa Bar. I believe it was Daisy that prepared our delicious hot breakfast most mornings - eggs, waffles, pancakes, fryjacks, meat pies and more. She like all the staff are just so friendly, professional and helpful. Victor for Security was always there watching over things so always felt safe and secure. Our room was so clean and included a full kitchen, plenty of hot water and great air conditioning! If I returned to the San Pedro area, this would be my first choice for a place to stay.

Blue Tang is a CLEAN, friendly, convenient and quaint boutique hotel. Tasty hot breakfast every morning. Friendly staff, especially a young man working part time during our stay (Amilcar). He never stopped working and went out of his way to be polite and endure our trip was going well. This kid was the highlight of our trip! Bravo Amilcar (Your parents taught you well!)

The rooms are pleasant. Not amazing, but clean and pleasant. The rooms also have full kitchens which are great. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is super nice. There is fresh breakfast prepared daily. The location is 10 stars. Perfect location. We loved it here.

From the moment I made our reservation, staff members were in contact with me, asking if we needed transportation assistance or any of their other services. Our room was ocean view and did not disappoint! Just a beautiful place, and we will be back!!

This place had the most amazing staff! They were excellent, always happy to help and would go above and beyond if they were able to. Breakfast was tasty, rooms were cozy, and the view was spectacular! Easy access to just about everything in San Pedro. Highly recommend!

Although the inn is adequate the noise from the construction happening just 200 feet away using Heavy Machinery (think Jack Hammers/Cranes the whole 9 Yards) is so loud and obnoxious that it totally takes you out of the island vibe. They say it will be completed sometime between Jan-Mar 2025, so if you're looking for a beach front hotel that doesn't break your eardrums I would look else where.

Great place! Husband and I stayed in a studio oceanfront room for 2 weeks. It's wasn't like staying at Grand Caribe, but that isn't what we expected or wanted. The room had everything we needed, and was cleaned well every day. Every staff member here was excellent - friendly, efficient, and helpful! Proximity to town, stores, and restaurants is great. Provided drinking water was a bonus, as was the small delicious daily breakfast. This is our new favourite place to stay while visiting San Pedro.

Beware there is extremely loud noise here at the moment with pilots been hammered into the ground do not visit or waste your time ! We have had to have a full refund today as we turned up no one informed us which is very bad customer service indeed very disappointing!

Excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff at an affordable price. Loved the pool, complementary breakfast, view. We ended up having to stay another night and they worked it out. Love this place.
