noisy room, just next to the reception and passage area near to the entrance of the hotel blind were not working light were coming inside whole night as well as through the room door from reception

I was looking for a 2 night, budget, solo stay close to Shanklin for my brother's 50th and Chaston Manor Hotel fulfilled my needs perfectly! Situated about an 8 minute walk away from Sandown station (The Island Line) and the seafront, the location was perfect for me to get around with Shanklin only 2 train stops away. I stayed in Room 8 (one single bed), a fairly basic room, which faced the front of the hotel and had plenty of light coming in through the windows. Chaston Manor is set back on a main road (Broadway) which is busy during the day however it was much quieter at night during my stay (with the windows closed). If you are a light sleeper, you might prefer a room at the back of the hotel. The bed was comfy and I slept very well. The room and hotel were cleaned to a high standard. The room had a basic tea station, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe with drawers below as well as a TV attached to the wall. The bathroom was small, with a small sink and shower, however, it functioned perfectly, had everything I needed and was fairly modern in its style (see my photos). The staff were friendly and very attentive in making sure I had everything I needed. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was included in the price of my room and the staff were excellent at dealing with my food allergy to milk. I opted for the English Breakfast (see photos) which was beautifully cooked and suitably filling! In general, I enjoyed my stay at Chaston Manor and would definitely stay again. The staff were very helpful and friendly and my stay was very relaxing with an easy check out. The price for my room reflected what it offered. A few things that could be improved is the soap dispenser on the bathroom wall. When pressed, the soap squirted at me horizontally! At breakfast, the little pots of honey had started to crystalize.

Superb stay. Very comfortable, clean and excellent for families. Ample parking was provided. Breakfast was a definite highlight and location a big plus with local amenities nearby. Would highly recommend given personalised service and a very local feel in the Hotel..

Modern, clean hotel with an excellent breakfast and plenty of choice. It has a seating area downstairs with a TV, a small bar and garden to sit in. Very friendly owners who will look after you, plenty of on-site parking and a storage shed for bikes which is secure. Highly recommended.

Oh my what a find! If you are going to stay anywhere, stay here. The friendliest staff/owner you could ask for, nothing was too much trouble. A beautifully clean room, the most comfortable bed and air conditioning (if you wanted it). Scrumptious breakfast and swift check in/check out. A million percent recommend. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

I stayed at Chaston Manor as was on the island for my cousins wedding. The welcome upon arrival was really friendly and the gentleman was exceedingly helpful, so a really good start. The room was immaculate, clean and very comfortable, it had lovely toiletries and everything you could need. I had heard that the Chaston had been renovated and it shows as everything is so lovely and fresh looking. Usually if breakfast is included it is second class but not this breakfast, it was delicious, so much so that i was supposed to go to the wedding breakfast the next day but had the hotel breakfast instead!!! I would definitely stay again without hesitation.

Callum was always checking if the guests were okay and that food requirements were being met. He also gave information on things to do on the Isle Of Wight. Our room was impeccably clean, as was the communal lounge and dining area. The only negative was that Sandown is not as nice as it clearly once was. The area around the pier is in need of investment, with a surprising number of derelict hotels/buildings, but clearly this is not something that Chaston Manor can influence.

A really perfect stay at Chaston Manor. The owner Callum was so lovely, super helpful and made you feel so welcome. Our family suite was huge and had everything you needed, great for us with a pair of teenagers as they had enough space to themselves. The hotel is a short walk from the sea in a nice, quiet location which was perfect for us. Breakfasts were amazing, everything you wanted from a fruit salad to a massive and delicious fry up! We loved it all and will return as soon as we can. Thanks so much Callum & team

We stayed for 3 nights at the Chaston Manor Hotel in early September 2022, so this review is very late! However, I always intended to write that we had a good stay. The service was friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were good and the room was clean and comfy and furnished to a good standard. We negotiated a decent price via a Booking site. Our host was Callum and he was great throughout. If we go back to the I-o-W I think we will again look at staying there, perhaps making contact direct.
