Hallo, Graag dragen we een steentje bij aan de beoordeling van Sporthotel Austria in St. Johann in Tirol. Wij vinden het een prima verblijf voor een actieve vakantie. In ons geval een mix van skiën en hiking. De kamers zijn goed en schoon. Het eten (halfpension) is prima en werd gedurende ons verblijf steeds beter! De bediening is vriendelijk, geduldig en speelt bovendien in op klantwensen: erg prettig. Ook de meertaligheid vonden we een absoluut voordeel. Kortom naar onze mening een aanrader dus. Fam. W. Ich schließe mich den guten Bewertungen an. Für uns ist einfach alles perfekt. Unterkunft, Lage, freundlicher Service , gutes vielfältiges Essen. Sauna, Fitnessraum und Spielraum , Schwimmbad , Bar und Kaminzimmer laden ein benutzt zu werden . Hervorheben möchten ich die herzliche Art aller MitarbeiterInnen , nebst Chef. Auch unser Hund Bommel war willkommen. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Super hotel, hier komen we graag nog eens terug. Perfecte ligging ten opzichte van skiverhuur en skilift, een zeer goede keuken (echt heerlijk gegeten!) en een groot binnenzwembad. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Wij hadden een grote kamer met balkon. Het enige minpuntje dat ik kan bedenken is het douchen in de badkuip: de douchestang zit ongeveer in het midden van het bad, terwijl het douchescherm aan de buitenkant zit. Dus er valt weleens een spatje water buiten het bad.

Schönes, kleines, familiäres Hotel mit ruhiger, aber trotzdem zentraler Lage. Zu Fuß sind es 5 Minuten zur Fußgängerzone oder zur Talstation der Harschbichlbahn. Kostenfreie Parkplätze am Hotel vorhanden. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die Bemühungen, auf die Umstände der Gäste einzugehen. Wir reisten mit Kleinkind, welches an einer komplizierteren Lebensmittelallergie leidet und es war überhaupt kein Problem! Sehr saubere Zimmer und tägliche Reinigung, auch wenn die Zimmereinrichtung eher etwas altmodisch ist, was aber auch einen gewissen Charme hat. Auch kulinarisch waren wir mehr als zufrieden, beim reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet ist für jedermann etwas dabei und auch das Abendessen war super !

My wife and I stayed for a week at Sporthotel Austia with Inghams. The hotel was very Tyrolean, clean and is situated 15 minutes walk from the centre of St Johann, and 7 minutes walk to the gondola station. Our room was adequately sized with a balcony which looked on to the Kitzbüelerhorn, and the en suite room was spacious with a shower, but no bath. The food in the hotel was excellent, with lots of choice at breakfast, and a 5 course evening meal, which was served in the garden, weather permitting. All the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The drinks were under UK prices. The hotel package was extremely generous with complimentary cakes and open sandwiches in the afternoon which were always gratefully received after a long walk. There was also a complimentary fruit bowl in the reception area. This is an excellent holiday hotel and we would both recommend it.

Dieses Hotel ist wirklich eine große Empfehlung.Tolle Lage zum Zentrum von St.Johann, zum Bahnhof, zum Seilbahn...Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sehr sauber.Das Essen ist wirklich großartig! Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle Lage, ruhig und doch schnell im Ortszentrum. Super Service, schönes Hotel, alle super nett. Total hundefreundlich. Balu konnte im extra Bereich mit zum Frühstück. 1000 Prozent weiterempfehlen kann ich das Hotel Austria. Wir kommen immer wieder.

Das ganze Team war super nett und zuvorkommend Tolle Lage und wir hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer mit Balkon Abends wurde im Garten gegessen. Wir und unser Hund können das Hotel mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen

Wir haben in St. Johann in Tirol den Weihnachtsurlaub mit der ganzen Familie verbracht bei herrlichem Winterwetter in wunderschöner Landschaft. Ob Skifahren, Sauna, Pool, Fitnessraum, Weihnachtsmarkt, Wanderungen im Tal, Ausflüge mit Top-Aussicht in die Berge oder gemütliches Beisammensein am Abend - für jeden war etwas dabei. Am besten aber war das Essen - reichhaltiges Frühstück und 5-Gänge-Menüs vom Feinsten, alles sehr lecker. Und das Personal ist sehr nett und entgegenkommend. Vielen Dank, wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen!

Super Service, tolles Team, sehr hundefreundlich, konnten unseren kleinen Balu mit zum Frühstück nehmen, wurde separat extra für uns gedeckt. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, schöner Pool, die Lage ist super,wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder

A superb traditional hotel in a peaceful setting just 10-15 mins walk from the centre of beautiful St Johann. We were very happy to be allocated a stunning top floor corner room, which was very spacious and had a huge balcony with spectacular views. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive ..... a special shout out to the Manager/Receptionist (Sonja) and the brilliant Sanja and Monika in the restaurant, who all work tirelessly in the heat to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Overall, the food was outstanding for a standard half board basis; the chefs did an amazing job. Breakfast buffet was extensive, plentiful and continually replenished. At breakfast every day, you choose your dinner (choice of 3 main courses) for that night from a daily five course a la carte menu. Drinks are reasonably priced and added to your room bill every day so you can settle one bill at check out. Be aware that the hotel does charge for tap water with dinner, but it is freely available at breakfast and there is a refilling station at the pool. There is a weekly BBQ on a Thursday and on Wednesdays, the restaurant is closed allowing guests to eat out in town – where there are plenty of great restaurants. It should be noted however that if you are travelling with Inghams, you do not get a credit for this weekly missed dinner on a Wednesday. All other guests do but not those travelling with Inghams, which turned out to be a very strange and ambiguous arrangement. During the first week of our stay, the weather was extremely hot due to a massive heatwave all over central Europe. This is obviously no reflection on the hotel itself, but it did highlight a few issues that people should perhaps be aware of as this very hot weather could now become a regular occurrence in summer. There is no air-conditioning in the hotel at all ...... temperatures of 35 degrees are (or at least used to be) extreme and the hotels in the Tirol primarily service the ski season. However, you can imagine how uncomfortable it was at times, especially trying to sleep at night. We understand the practical and cost implications for installing air-con but ceiling fans would have at least been very welcome. We also felt that a fridge in the room would have been a huge advantage in the extreme heat. We only discovered at check-out that this could have in fact been requested. A limited number of portable fans are also available to borrow on request, but they were all taken. There is a refreshing pool downstairs, which is inside but leads out to a garden with sun lounders and parasols. The heat in the first week did limit activities somewhat but there are some fantastic walks nearby, the Gondola is withing easy reach on foot and excursions to Salzburg and Berchtesgaden are a must. Dinner is usually eaten in the garden when the weather is good, which was a relief as the dining room was stifling on the two occasions we had to eat there in the first week. It is more wo

Part of a coach tour. Very charming hotel. Bedroom clean, comfortable bed. Pillows poor. Very friendly staff. Lovely garden surrounded my majestic mountains. Good food breakfast and dinner. Barbeque last night was excellent, plus 2 male Austrian musicians, great entertainment. St Johann Town had lovely shops, bars and restaurants. We had beautiful weather. Easy 10 minute walk to town centre. Beautiful area.

Our holiday to Sri Lanka was cancelled due to the war in the Middle East. We spent a week at this hotel & was our base. From the minute we arrived until we left extremely friendly, efficient, caring, polite service from all staff. The food was delicious & a great range of food at breakfast. Dinner was a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian preceded by a vast selection of salad, a starter, soup, & a small dessert to follow. The hotel was spotless , with great guest facilities & very comfortable spacious bedrooms. Well worth paying extra for a larger room with balcony. It is in a nice quiet location but near the cable car, train station & a 10 minute stroll into the centre of town. Good selection of shops, no matter what you forgot you will get it close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
