I’ll start with the positives, the apar**ent itself was quite good and fairly well equipped. It is self catering and thankfully there was quite a good sized fridge, a microwave, kettle, toaster and hob, so everything you need to make a simple meal. We chose self catering due to very severe food allergies within the family! The beds in the room were comfortable and the bathroom was quite nice despite the sink hanging off the wall. The apar**ent did seem to be lacking extra hanging space for wet towels etc but that is a minor issue. The apar**ent also seemed clean on arrival which was a bonus. Now for the negatives! First of all, the checkin process was a very long and arduous process. Our flight landed late so inevitably we arrived at our accommodation late. The checkin then took at least 30 minutes, I struggled to understand why this was such a long winded process, all the details were already on the system as we had managed to book the stay. This is certainly something that should be looked in to to speed the process up. All we wanted to do was get in to the room and go to find a shop to get some food, not spend 30 minutes checkin in! Next issue…as we were staying in the apar**ent we had full access of the pool area and use of the sun beds around the pool. We used these facilities with no issues at all, and took our own water to the pool area as we had cold bottles in our room. On our final day however, we had checked out at midday, as I previously stated we chose self catering due to SEVERE food allergies, we had some food left over that of course we didn’t want to throw away (how wasteful) so we took it to the pool area to eat the food that we knew would be safe. Sadly we were accosted by one of the bar staff who very aggressively told us that we weren’t allowed to eat any other food by the pool unless it had been provided by the bar, this member of staff then got a colleague to come and tell us again, to which we responded we have checked out and have food that we will not be throwing away due to food allergies. We were told there are signs everywhere that state you cannot eat your own food! This is not the case, we didn’t see a single sign stating this. There are many signs up that state no diving and no smoking but those diving in the pool and smoking were not challenged, I suppose we didn’t fit with the aesthetic of the two star accommodation. Since we were challenged by two members of staff, they still didn’t offer any alternative to the fact we clearly wanted to eat some food, we weren’t ever offered a menu, we were at the pool area for 6 hours and were then ignored. I feel if you want everyone to eat the food provided at least offer an alternative by offering a menu at the very least. I then discovered it wasn’t even possible to order food from the bar area so what were we expected to do?! The bar staff should certainly be given to customer service training and treat everyone equally instead of picking favourites. My final negative of
