Un endroit merveilleux propice au repos et à la méditation mais aussi un camp de base idéal pour rayonner et découvrir l'Andalousie. Les vues depuis l'hôtel sont à couper le souffle, de véritables tableaux de peinture, des champs vallonnés d'oliviers et d'amandiers à perte de vue. Le bâtiment en lui-même est superbe, décoré et entretenu avec soin, tout comme les nombreux coins terrasses et la piscine qui invitent à la contemplation. Le personnel se met en quatre pour vous chouchouter avec de délicieux petits déjeuners joliment présentés, la possibilité de dîner à la table d'hôtes, de boire un verre ou de grignoter une planche apéritive au bord de la piscine. Un lieu à découvrir et une expérience à vivre ! Bravo et merci !

Vriendelijk onthaal en behulpzaam, tof personeel. Lekker eten. Verzorgde kamers. Geen TV, maar die hadden we eigenlijk niet van doen. Een aanrader.

Un havre de paix entre citronniers et oliviers ! Accueil chaleureux de Jody pour nous mettre à l’aise et nous faire découvrir son joli paradis décoré avec soins. Les chambres sont douillettes et très confortables, la piscine super agréable donne sur les champs d'oliviers et les collines. Tout est reposant. Le petit déjeuner est top ! Produits frais, pain à la banane maison, sucré, salé et même des churros home made avec son chocolat.. un délice. Amis des animaux bienvenus

El Amparo er designet til at give dig det bedst mulige ophold. Kan med fordel bruges af par til stille stunder, børnefamilier eller venner der gerne vil feste. Perfekt designede værelser, fleksibel køkkenmuligheder, samt ejerne, personalet der havde tid til hyggesnak.

Une halte vraiment parfaite dans ce havre de paix , nous avons été formidablement bien accueilli par Jody et tout le personnel , tout etait simplement parfait!! Une vue magnifique, une chambre tres propre et spacieuse, nous aimerions revenir pour quelques jours la prochaine fois ! Nous recommandons vivement

The location is truly superb. The room is large with comfortable bed. The lemon logo is uniquely artful,lovely. The management should address the nocturne smell in the bathroom due to refluxing gases and provide proper heating in rooms and dining room when warranted and not resort to cheap electric resistance appliances .

My husband, adult daughter and I had a lovely overnight stay at the Lemon Tree retreat between visiting Seville and Granada. I just wish we could have stayed at least a day longer to lounge by the pool soaking up the stunning views in every direction and resting our weary feet from days of touristing. We had a delicious 3-course dinner at the hotel and buffet breakfast. The owners and staff were warm and friendly and we enjoyed the - impeccably behaved - resident dogs and cats.

Loved everything about it! Stunning views, awesome accomodations, everything done in great taste! Great hospitality and delicious breakfast. I would definitely stay there again. I would had loved to be in the beautiful swimming pool, but in March was a little too cold for me..

Amazing place, beautiful retreat, great location, fantastic people , very nice staff , animal Friendly , very comfortable installations , everything perfect but the food is not as good as the rest of the features of the hotel. But I know that they are working on it and it will get better. We will be back again and we definitely recommend it !

10/5*.  Don't hesitate to book your vacation, retreat, or group adventure at El Amparo/Lemon Tree Retreat!  We were originally supposed to do a  trip to El Amparo in March 2020 - a week or so after COVID shut the US (and most of the world down).  The trip was rescheduled something like 3 times before we actually made it, but Jody and Nick seemed like such amazing hosts and the property and inn so beautiful I was determined to make the trip eventually happen.  We weren't disappointed!  Jody and Nick expanded and completely renovated the property and everything is done just perfectly.  The addition blends seamlessly with the original building and the interior design and construction is top-notch.  My husband, myself, and our two children stayed in the Rosada Suite which was perfect for the family with three small "step out" balconies, two separate rooms separated by an open doorway and burlap curtains, and an outdoor walkway.  The bathroom has two sinks and a HUGE walk-in shower.  There are numerous outdoor lounge areas and the pool area is huge with a great variety of seating - all high end. The dinners are amazing and I highly recommend taking advantage of the cooking.  Because we stayed in early April, the staff chef had not started working for the season yet, but Nick and Jody are excellent in the kitchen and we loved every meal we had there.  It is a great spot for couples or families and we never felt like we were getting in each other's way.  There is space for kids (and adults) to enjoy themselves outdoors, a goat farm next door, and numerous resident cats and dogs.  It is a great location for cycling as well.  Mils and miles and miles of gravel roads literally out the front door (we rented hardtails, but gravel bikes would have been appropriate on most of the gravel, although some of the olive grove roads were a bit rough), but this is of course a highly popular area for road cycling as well. True singletrack/more technical routes aren't super close. Of note: the rescheduled trip ended up being over Easter,  Because El Amparo is in a more rural spot, meal planning did get a bit stressful once or twice.  However, most of the season they are open this shouldn't be a huge concern as long as you are cognizant that this is rural tourism at its absolute finest.  In addition to Jody and Nick being great hosts, all the other staff was amazing as well.  We can't say enough great things about all of them.  The closest larger town is Alhama de Granada, which is about a 10 minute drive away.  Jody was kind enough to organize a short tour of the town with us with a tour guide named Paca who was just lovely.  The town has an incredibly interesting (and long!) history and gorgeous hiking trails through a gorge - we  felt it's a bit of an underrated destination for a few hours of sightseeing.  

The most confortable beds, lovely breakfast and dinner and beautiful views. Muy cómodas camas y todo maravilloso desayuno y cena! Jody y su staff espléndidos! Tendremos que regresar fuimos a Skyandaluz muy recomendable también.

This place is an oasis. It’s beautiful. We only stayed two nights but would’ve loved to stayed longer and will definitely come back later this year.. Set in the middle of nowhere, it has beautiful views over the countryside. Fabulous swimming pool (It was a bit too cold for Ice to go in at this time.) I Really comfortable sunbeds and an honesty bar. The honesty bar is really handy for drinks by the pool. As a small suggestion they could add a few non perishable snacks too, not to eat by the pool but just because unless you bought some snacks with you you’re a bit stuck for nibbles. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful and they might stay 6 star in my opinion. The room was beautifully finished and furnished. A mix of modern bathrooms with Spanish style bedroom.. Breakfast was wonderful and a mix of European style as well as muesli fruit and good coffee. There’s loads to do in the area and Jody was really helpful in giving us some tips for where to eat and what to do. I can see why this has faultless reviews. It’s just a stunning place with wonderful staff and they really care about the attention to detail. One of the few places. We will definitely come back to you in future.

Super comfortable beds in spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped rooms. They've really thought about providing guests with every possible comfort. Very clean, with spectacular views. And worth eating there on the nights that the kitchen is open. Loved it!

From where you come, which places you want to go to, please stay a few nights at 'Al Amparo' to witness the matchless hospitality of Nick and Jody! The Lemon Tree Retreat in the heart of mountain Andalusia offers everything you need for relaxing and refreshing after exploring Granada, Malaga or Cordoba! The rooms and suites are huge, every detail is neat and pittoresque and unique. Great fresh breakfast and amazing dinner (extra order) let you forget that the next alternative for food is 25 min away - by car. You will love to have chosen to come here!
