Good hotel but very very small rooms Very expensive , too expensive

This was the second time staying at this hotel over the past 5 years. In my opinion, Imerovigli is perfectly situated between the main city of Fira and Oia on the main island's tip. Like other hotels in the area it is facing the caldera with stunning views. However, there are many steps going down the side from street level, to reception, the pool, restaurant, and sun decks. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They also offer a transfer service from the port to the hotel which I would strongly suggest you use. They met us at the ferry from Athens and assisted with baggage and transfer. They were also available during our stay to take us to other sites on the island. The restaurant/ bar has a great menu with many options, all of which were delicious along with a great selection of cocktails and non- alcoholic drinks. One thing that has improved from the last time was the breakfast selection menu. Breakfast is delivered to your room each morning and you may enjoy this with an incredible view. The room was quite spacious, the beds comfortable and the service was fantastic. One other bonus is their collaboration with Hyatt hotels.

We split our trip to Santorini and stayed in two different hotels for 3 nights each - 'On the Rocks' was the first. We had booked a double room with sea view and were surprised to be upgraded to a stunning cave style room with private terrace, sunbeds, table and chairs and our own jacuzzi. The unobstructed view across the Caldera was amazing, I loved seeing the hotels down the cliffside, watching the different ships come and go on a daily basis and we were lucky enough to see the sunset from our terrace too. You would never tire of that view!! Fira was a 25 minute walk through the town of Firostefani, which in itself was pretty with restaurants and bars. Breakfast was served on a tray on the terrace at your room (or by the pool if you prefer) and had a great selection to choose from. The hotel had a pool a couple of levels below us, but we didn't use it as we had our own jacuzzi.We didn't use the hotel bar/restaurant either , instead we chose to eat in Imerovigli , Fira and Firostefani. We loved every minute of staying at 'On the Rocks' - it's quirky, pretty unique and would definitely return given the chance.

We have just returned from a truly incredible trip to Santorini. We chose On The Rocks for our hotel and we are already looking to return next year!! The staff are utterly incredible, every single person we interacted with were super friendly, incredibly helpful and just wonderful people in general. Nothing was ever to much of an ask! - Room was always cleaned immaculately, the drinks were served quickly and were fantastic and how they carry them cases and your breakfast (along with other room service) to your room is a skill i am still in awe of! The views are scenic and are breathtaking from the moment you arrive. Breakfast was exceptional every day along with the other food we tried during our stay. Rooms were very comfortable, i saw a lot of people mentioning they are cosy and tight but in my opinion they were perfect and felt spacious for Santorini! - i would suggest (if money allows) to book a room with a pool, we didn’t this time but next time will definitely pay the extra!! Overall wonderful stay, staff which make this hotel even more incredible and views that beat most of the top restaurants we paid well above odds for, for the view!! Must Stay! Tips- 1. Try the restaurants outside of the hotel, they are incredible and very reasonably priced with fresh produce. We loved Aegean, book in advance as they get very busy! - AVOID, Cavo Tagoo for food, not great at all!! For drinks fantastic spot! book in advance for a table for drinks! 2. If money allows book a room with a pool, they are incredible. 3. Go into Fira town for shopping, much cheaper than Oia. 4. Check price with taxis before you get in, a lot of them try to stitch you up!! For a 10 minute ride you’re looking at around €15!

Such an amazing Hotel with an incredible view. Great location for anywhere you want to go on the island. The staff are fantastic they are so friendly and helpful and go above and beyond for you, especially Gorgea and Marios at the bar... they were exceptional and a credit to the hotel. The rooms are small but kept immaculately clean. The hotel reccomended a sunset cruise where we got picked up and dropped back off and it did not disappoint we thoroughly enjoyed it. They also reccomend restaurants which were great and the pool bar at the hotel does fantastic drinks and food too. Everyone is so friendly and all the other guests we met staying there were as happy as we were with the choice.
