Loved the Sweet Guest House. I stayed just one night but it was very cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room clean and comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre where there are a few restaurants and bars. Thre is a communal space on the top floor which is very nice. Great place to watch and listen to a thunderstrom. I didn't have the breakfast as I had to leave early. Within the premises is also a spa which offers massages. The Sweet Guest House is a great place to start a trip to Sao Tome and Principe.

Terrible experience! Our room faced a closed patio where the laundry area was located. On the outside wall, right next to the window, there was the air conditioning unit that ran all night, making a horrible noise that kept us awake the entire night. Additionally, we booked a room with a double bed, but they placed us in a room with twin beds. Not an experience to repeat. Péssima experiência! O nosso quarto dava para um pátio fechado onde estava a lavandaria. Na parede de fora, mesmo ao lado da janela está a máquina do ar condicionado que esteve a funcionar toda a noite, fazendo um barulho horrível que não nos deixou dormir a noite toda. Em adicional, marcamos um quarto com cama de casal e colocaram-nos num quarto com cama dupla. A não repetir.

Sweet Guesthouse on first impression looks nice. But for us it wasn’t so nice! The receptionist spoke very poor English (she would have thought it was an imperative to have some knowledge of the language when tourism is the main focus?). The room was clean but beds were soft and there was mould in the showers! It was also noisy with little sound proofing. We booked a taxi to a local restaurant in the evening. There are NO restaurants close by and they don’t serve food apart from breakfast. There was no drinking water in our rooms and in fact there was no water in the guesthouse!! I had to walk 200 metres to get water!!! The taxi (the one the guesthouse uses) charged us $20 each way ($5 per person) which I thought was outrageous for a five minute ride. The next morning, talking to someone who did speak English, I discovered that we had been charged at least double. The receptionist didn’t respond!!!

Très correct dans le cadre d'un compromis prestation / prix / localisation. Hôtel quasi central permettant de rayonner à pied pour découvrir la Capitale. Chambre propre avec une climatisation très efficace. Salle de bains très petite, chambre petite quand occupée à 3. Personnel d'accueil sympathique. Petit déjeuner correct sans être "waouh", le suivi et réapprovisionnement est peu efficace.

Lugar calmo, com excelente acolhimento. Tem tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia serena. Bem cuidado, limpo, harmonioso. Tem uma fábrica de chocolate, o chocolate é delicioso. Bem localizado! Recomendo!!!

Just a terrific place. Great location for exploring on foot and you can walk to numerous restaurants and cafes. The hotel arranged airport transfers for me, which was appreciated. My room was ver comfortable, basic but good. Excellent wifi, hot water, cold AC, and a comfy bed. I loved the common areas, which inlaced outdoor seating and a kitchen. Breakfast was extra and was only ok, but it is nice to have the option. Very friendly and helpful staff.
