歐洲酒店(Hotel Europe)

Great location. Good room size. Very good breakfast menu. A very basic health suite. Sauna and Hammam are at an extra cost. A great hotel but in need of some refurbishment.

The lobby is boring and unwelcoming looking. The elevator is hard to see tucked in a corner and recessed. The reception desk looks like something for an office, low to the floor were employees sit at the desk. The desk has no interesting design. The colors/wood paneling are dark and depressing and are found throughout the room hallways which are extremely dimly lighted. The connected Becka Kafana Viennese cafe is beautiful, has good food, including pastries, coffee and service and prices are low, but is generally empty. I guess it's too traditional and upscale looking for people. The outdoor dining area is very large, pleasant and casual and looks at the ruins of a wall and the old shopping gallery building. It has a very limited evening menu so I went to the cafe.

Ich habe mich trotz der negativen Bewertungen auf das Hotel eingelassen, was ein grosser Fehler war dieses Hotel ist genau so wie es die schlechtesten Bewertungen sagen. Schon nur das bei der Ankunft fremde Frauenunterwäsche im Kleiderschrank war sagt schon alles. Das Personal an der Rezeption ist extrem unfreundlich und entspricht nicht einem 5 Sterne Hotel, die Einrichtung ist sehr alt. Mein Kartenleser funktionierte 3x nicht und ich musste jedesmal den Schlüssel hinterher rennen. Auf meinem Stockwerk gab es einen Wasserschaden & Stromausfall sodas während dem Duschen einfach das Licht für 1-2 Minuten ausging. Ich wollte frühzeitig auschecken was das ebookers-Team äusserst Professionell erledigt hat. Nur das Hotelteam brauchte ganze 2.5 Tage um mich auschecken zu lassen damit ich eine Rückerstattung bekomme. Bei meiner ganzen Reise habe ich nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung bekommen egal ob für den Kartenleser oder für den Stromausfall rein garnichts, dem Personal war es egal wie man sich als Hotelgast fühlte. Ich habe das Gefühl das die 5 Sterne gekauft wurden, so schlecht kann man garnicht sein als Hotel. Das einzigste Positive am Hotel war der Standort aber dafür gibt es bessere Alternativen in der Umgebung (Hotel President).

We had a very nice and comfortable stay. Great breakfast. Only surprise was that we were not allowed to bring our coffe outside on the patio after breakfast. I understand that they want to reserve the patio for paying visitors, but at breakfast time there was almost nobody there.

Very nice, newly built room, efficient aircon, big bathroom, very clean. Nice staff, great breakfast and a very nice outdoor bar. CMA only recommend!
