The Canyon Suites was my choice for elevated accommodations at the posh Phoenician located at the base of the Camelback Mountain. I upgraded to this category of dwelling as it was separate and more intimate. Service was upper class, it was packed with amenities and more abundant than those attached to a standard suite. The digs were were outfitted with custom decor accomplishing a residential fervor with a patio affording an outdoor lifestyle and superb views. Access to an exclusive pool, a breakfast and lunch spread, were hits with me. The focus of all of this is the Canyon Lounge, a communal spot in the main lobby serving breakfast and in the evening, cocktails with small plates.....yummy yummy in the tummy. The poolside Canyon Grill features a lunch menu of fresh salads and makes the waterworks all the more attractive. The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician elevates your stay.

All I have to say do not go there! I was so sad about my stay!!! From the checkin to checkout. They room service , housekeeping. No one was a help. The amount Amount of Money I spent. WOW I tried to cancel before I went because my daughter was in the hospital they would not give me a refund. So I went he stayed behind .

I usually save my points to stay here once a year. As lifetime Titanium I have been treated very well with extra amenities in past years. I guess I got spoiled and this year the person checking me in really had no interest in interacting with me. She wasn’t rude but not like I had been welcomed previous years. There was no welcome at the little gatehouse which was a minor thing but a nice way to start a visit. They added the option to self park in the garage under the Canyon Suites. I prefer that but missed the interactions with the valets. The exception was the people working at breakfast. I had a few nice conversations with them. The breakfast is lovely and I enjoyed eating outside before the heat of the day started. I love that the pool is open 24 hours so I could have a sunrise swim.

This was my family and I's fourth or fifth stay at the Canyon Suites at The Phoenician. Every single time the service has been top notch. The staff remembers our names, gives a gift to my children, and always provides something a little extra, be it snacks with a free movie or a free Smores kit. The breakfast, while minimal is great. Without looking like a Homewood Suites or something, they provide you with high quality and well cut fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and always a breakfast entree. The staff is the best I have encountered at any hotel in the states. The ONLY negative thing I had to say was we experienced ants at the pool at three different locations, even one time before we even had any food or drinks. I know we are in the middle of the desert right at the base of a mountain, but that has to be improved. The issue is not enough to lower the review, just something to be noted.

Tolles Hotel mit moderner Einrichtung. Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend (speziell erwähnen möchten wir hier Sharon vom Poolbereich). Alle Wünsche werden einem hier erfüllt. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr ansprechend und von guter Qualität. Leider kann der Spa-Bereich im The Phonician nur besucht werden, wenn man ein Spa-Treatment gebucht hat. Dies ist sehr schade. Wir können die Canyon Suites wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

The Canyon suites is extremely old & outdated. Like everything else in life; you need to adapt to the changing times. The Canyon Suites hasn’t demonstrated they have the ability & staff to do this. Keep the guests safe & do the right thing. Don’t put profit over the health & safety of guests.

I’ve been coming to the canyon suites for many years now. It used to be a special place. Unfortunately, it’s lost it’s magical charm & we will not be back. Nobody followed up on a problem we had. We even asked for a manager; never received a follow up. It’s become just another hotel. Some of the employees seem more interested in making conversation; then doing thr job. We felt uncomfortable with employees asking us personal questions. We traveled here from Austria.

From the moment we arrived - until we left, the service was impeccable! Brad, our concierge, greeted us and welcomed us to our room by physically walking us to our room and showing us pointers on how to operate the gadgets. Kale, the valet, always remembered us as we took our car in and out. The weekend pool waitress and cleaning ladies were very pleasant! AND everything was immaculately clean all around the property - not just our room. We really enjoyed the cactus garden and we experienced every bar and restaurant on the property — all were wonderful with a nice variety of selections. I am vegetarian and never had a loss of choices. Will definitely return!!!

The place is nice and clean. Rooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable. Wife and I were disappointed in the pool areas given the cost of the rooms ($1k+). At the Canyon side (where we stayed) it was run amok with kids (which generally fine, but very loud) and there were no other pool options on this side. At the Phoenician side, the pools were rowdy as well, music a bit too loud for my taste and just lacking in general luxe quality. We went down to the adult only pool and there were rows and rows of seating, no views of the pool if you got in late - just the backside of those in front of you. Felt like we were at some Margaritaville resort in Houston more than anything - pool wise. Wished Canyon-side pool was a bit more upscale. Service was very good and friendly. Breakfast excellent.

Disgusting property with atrocious management. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at a Bonvoy property as a Lifetime Platinum member. You’d be better off staying at a Courtyard Marriott than this place that is need of massive overhaul from top to bottom.
