The Travelodge offered a location that was hard to beat - right there near the iconic landmark that you can see from the corridors. They provide a little breakfast package with fruit, a granola bar and water which is a nice addition in times when most hotel charge absurd amounts of money for breakfast. Unfortunately, that's where the positives mostly ended for my stay. The room itself is super simple and in need of an upgrade. While clean, the furniture seemed worn, and the overall impression was one of a bygone era. Thin walls made it easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms, which disrupted a good night's sleep... For the price, I think other options in Seattle could offer a more comfortable and up-to-date stay. Unless location is your absolute top priority, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your Seattle visit.

This is an older hotel, with few amenities. The room was small, but adequate for 2 queen beds. The tiny shower was a surprise instead of a tub/shower combo. The beds seem newer, as does the carpet, but there's not a lot they can do with the older bathrooms. That said - you absolutely can't beat the convenience factor. Just a few minutes walk to the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens, MoPop and the monorail. We discovered it's $19.00 to Uber back from Pike Place. And the overnight parking was less expensive than a lot of hotels.

The checkin staff, while friendly, wasn’t very helpful-knew very little even about places within easy walking distance to eat although there were several we found later. The real disappointment was the property itself. It’s pretty shabby and rundown. Very little water pressure in the shower-not enough water to take a decent shower and the hot water was spotty-sometimes there was hot water and other times there was none. The faucet in the bathroom sink was stuck and almost impossible to operate. It took sheer strength to turn water on or or off. There was no dining at the hotel; they supplied a paper bag with an orange, a bottle of water, a granola bar, and a terrible pre-wrapped pastry as “breakfast”. We booked this hotel because it was convenient to where we wanted to be and was rated as good (not excellent). We weren’t expecting anything fancy at all, but this place left a lot to be desired.

The experience started out with one of the keys not working and having to go for two new keys. The room was a bit tired. The "grab and go" breakfast really needed to be reviewed. The caretakers don't seem to understand that the "customers" do need access to rooms etc. So because one of the elevators was being THOROUGHLY cleaned, the other wouldn't work as the door for one was held open. WIFI was marginal and at times wouldn't connect at all. Location was good. The place really needs to be upgraded. The plumbing was really bad. On the third floor the shower took about 15 minutes before there was hot water. Not at all fun or even convenient. The sink never did see hot water. The bed was only made up one day. We didn't expect bedding change for four nights. we did expect the bed to be made up. Enough for now.
