i thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Hampton in Selma, Alabama. The staff was extremely cordial, helpful and professional. The environment felt welcoming and safe. The facilities were clean. The morning breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choices. I will book this hotel when I return to visit family and friends.

Very unhappy with our visit,way too pricey for an over night stay...
And we have been to many Hampton inn ,but this place was awful 😞

No water for shower Friday night
2 luggage carts for hotel had to carry luggage
Breakfast was good
No phone in room had walk down when we had problems
Again water turned off on Saturday and then no hot water for shower Saturday night

It was my first time in Selma. I booked this hotel weeks in advance. First the hotel was in the middle of a renovation. The sounds of drills, saws, hammers etc. I couldn’t sleep as they started working at 6am. There was debris right outside my room door. Second the pool didn’t work. Third the workers was doing electrical work and shut off the power to my room in the middle of the night, it got unpleasant with the air conditioning not operating. This was not a good experience for my family.

I booked a room with sofabed was told it was not available essentially I overpaid and got a room with a jacuzzi tub which turned on during the middle of the night. The A/C unit was loud. The sheets were stained so I had to change myself as housekeeping was gone for the day and there were no towels. Overall a terrible experience. The only saving grace was the breakfast and friendly staff.

Furniture in the room was dated. The room air conditioner was very noisy, made it hard to sleep at night. Pool was unavailable due to hotel renovation.

The property was very organized and safe. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing along with the staff. The only downfall at this particular time is that the pool area was not available due to ongoing renovations which was okay because the atmosphere of the room was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone that is visting the area.

Room not ready at time of check-in. Reason given was house keeping. Every time I’ve stayed here it seems to be an house keeping issue

The outside did not match the inside, meaning the outside is being remodeled but the inside was clean and neat.

We were on a business trip and 5 of us checked. My supervisor did not have her work badge, but she had her business cards and ID, along with the rest of us. They harassed her about not having her ID and proceeded to change her rate. They gave me a room that was under renovation and blamed Travelocity for assigning the room although I received the key from the front desk attendant. I requested a room at government rate when I made the reservation, but was told they didn’t offer the rate at the hotel. I will not stay here again.
