科普里奇旅館(The Coppleridge Inn)

Des avis très positifs figurant sur le site - mais rien de plus récent que le printemps 2017 - bizarre. Personnellement je ne donnerai qu'une note moyenne : chambre de grande taille, bon lit de 160 (180?), vraie douche; environnement très tranquille (toutefois s'assurer qu'il n'y a pas de réception de mariage prévu dans le grand barnum juste devant les chambres...). Par contre propreté très perfectible et méfiance si le séjour est prévu en été mais avec des températures extérieures faibles : chauffage coupé en été, y compris dans la salle de bain...Personnel très jeune, de bonne volonté, mais qui aurait besoin d'être plus encadré.

We booked this little hotel for after a very long and busy day visiting longleat and it was just perfect. Room was comfy and we all slept well. Breakfast was great too.

Things we loved: Location is very pretty with rolling countryside all around. Friendly and helpful service. Good food. Things we didn't love: Rooms were freezing, we struggled to sleep. The inn provided 2 mini portable radiators, but given the size of room and poor insulation, it wasn't enough. There were also hairs (cat hair?) on one of my pillows - easy enough to brush off, but not what you'd expect from a 4* hotel (though rest of the room was very clean). Too cold to consider returning.

Tina & her team kindly agreed to open especially to host a Wake. Everything was perfect- the communication, welcome, service, food & surroundings. Perfect venue for intimate or family celebrations, in a beautiful part of Dorset. Thank you, Tina & Team

This was my 2nd stay and oh wow, this place is so amazing! We ate in the restaurant on both nights, i had the Thai Green Curry and it was honesty the best i have ever had. We stayed in bedroom 4 this time, it is big, clean and the bed is just sooooo comfortable. We plan on visiting again in the new year, thank you Michael, Tina and Ruby, you are lovely

There were a big group of us - 12 of us for my grans 80th birthday. She chose here as it was somewhere different and seemed a lovely place to come. We were all wrong… I turned up with my partner and my brother and his partner with a birthday cake, we came through the door and the 2 young girls at the bar were just staring at us and we had no warm welcome and made us pretty uncomfortable- not a good start. I Asked if they would look after the cake - all fine. Firstly, I’ll start off with the drinks - 4 drinks were ordered originally ( 3 diet cokes & a lemonade and lime), which the young lady jotted down on her note pad. The drinks took an awfully long time & then the rest of our family turned up, within that my mum was told there was some mix up with the drinks and they couldn’t remember what we wanted which was odd, anyway our 4 drinks came whilst the others of our group ordered there’s. We all started drinking our drinks and my brothers Diet Coke tasted really awful and very different to the others.. the manager told him ‘ oh the syrup ran out’ if this was the case why wasn’t this changed before sending it out? Then.. my gran decided to order a bottle of white wine for her to share with 2 others. It came, she was about to pour it and realised 1/4 of the bottle of wine was missing!!! We were told by the manager it was because it was put in a different fridge and a couple were drinking some of it last night. Not what you want to really hear but heyho, we weren’t letting the drink situation stopping us having a good time! The food… well.. very very disappointing! We were told we were to pre order our mains ( which we did) and then we could decide our starters when we got there, within this - our mains just arrived, we weren’t even offered any starters?! Majority of us either had hunters chicken or the burger. The veg was nice with the hunters chicken, but the chicken was awful - It was chewy, it was hard to cut and just not pleasant to eat, some people didn’t even have any bacon wrapped around it! Most of us left our chicken which was a shame. The burger meat was cheap and nasty. We still carried on with the rest of the meal. No one came over to our table once to ask how are meal was - not attentive at all! A lot of us were still pretty hungry as we hadn’t had any starters and we left a lot of our mains, so we ordered dessert - this was very nice ( sticky toffee pudding) & everyone else enjoyed there puddings. I then asked if the cake could be brought out, someone brought it out and then left the cake there and didn’t think or ask if we wanted a knife or any plates. We waited approx 15 mins before I decided to go and find someone to ask for a knife and plates. Again, not very attentive. Overall the experience was poor and we won’t be returning. It is such a shame as it was for a 80th birthday. We weren’t made to feel special and we felt just ‘ left to it’ which part of the experience of going out especially on a special birthday

The Coppleridge Inn provides excellent food, drink and peaceful comfort. The staff are friendly, courteous and efficient and the bedrooms and bathrooms are scrupulously clean and well furnished.

Stopped for Sunday lunch en route to Frome. Received a very warm welcome. Lovely roast with lots of fresh veg, perfectly cooked meat and was all reasonably priced. Would definitely return and recommend.

Staff and food were excellent. Room was a little tired in places but overall good
