We went for drinks there was 15 of us that they put on one long table … the bar staff were really sour faced and kept saying “ table service only” which is fine but then as I joined my family later I missed the first order so waited to be served but no one came to me.. I went to the bar to be told “ table service only” which works if someone will come to my table. They weren’t massively busy and 3 members of waiting staff were chatting by the door. Eventually a waitress came over and I ordered a gin and tonic and a lemonade and a Fanta… she replied.. do you want all that in one glass?!?! Erm no!! 🤣 Later on I wanted to order more drinks so after unsuccessfully trying to get someone’s attention I went back to the bar to be told they’d send someone over… she never did but I sat and watched her chat to a waiter for a while before he walked off to the other side of the pub! Some other family members came to join us.. they went to sit on the long table with us, the waitress panicked saying “ you can’t sit with them it’s too squashed - sit here!” There was plenty of room and actually we took up another table! Weird business decisions having staff hanging around yet not taking orders - better to be behind a bar serving. Won’t return.

Had a lovely lunch here great food and very good prices staff all very friendly definitely worth a visit Situated on the sea front at Shanklin very easy to park. We sat on the terrace with a smashing view but there is lots of room inside if you prefer

Lovely restaurant/pub.We always pop in here when in the area on holiday.Over looks the seafront & plenty of seating inside and out some covered.Large varied menu lots of veggie options.Friendly staff always on hand and we have always been greated as we walk in.
