Really excellent. Warm & comfortable room. Friendly & helpful staff. The included breakfast was great: home-cooked full English, one of the best we've had on a hotel break. Location of the Inn was perfect - loads to do nearby. Used a "Buyagift" voucher to book 2 of our 4 nights so it was extremely good value. We shall be more than happy to return for another break here as it made such a good impression. Highly recommended.

We had a 2 night stay at The Manifold Inn and had a wonderful time. The Inn is in a great location for some lovely walks and with two campsites nearby there were plenty of customers around. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean and there is a good choice of food. The service from the staff was amazing. There was a terrible storm (they were sweeping across the country) that led to a 90 minute power cut after dark. In the blackness using their mobile phones they set up lots of candles and continued to serve drinks calmly, professionally and in a very friendly manner. Making sandwiches for dinner guests and promising they would fire up the kitchen as soon as the power went on – which they did, offering the full menu. Thank you! We will definitely stay there again.

After lovely long walk in the surrounding area we were really looking forward to meal in manifold Inn. We didn't book and it was so busy and it was looking doubtful we would get a table but thanks to Sam he managed to get us in and the food was delicious. Thanks sam.

Plus side first. Lovely place, lovely area, friendly staff, lovely rooms, fantastic breakfast. Spot on. Slight niggles, nothing horrendous. If you over 6 foot tall and stocky (Im 6 foot 6) you will not get in the showers in room 6 or 7, they were designed for smurfs. While breakfast was fantastic the evening meals were not quite as good. Should i have complained?!?!? Maybe so but the problem was down to them being over cooked. No real issue but not as good as it could have been. Sirloin steak had a huge lump of gristle and fat on it, just little issues. Would i go back there??? Yeah, for sure..

We have just spent the most enjoyable one night stay at the Manifold Inn. This was a gift from our son but we will certainly book to go again… although the building is 200 year old coaching Inn it has been kept up to date but not spoilt…. The bed was so comfy (wanted to bring it home) the walk in shower was very high class) … The evening dinner was delicious and served by very knowledgeable and friendly staff and very reasonable price … the breakfast was very varied and included in the price.. This is a three star muddy boots and waggy tails pub and accommodation. The room was fine and the meals were ok although a bit expensive (£17/£18 for a chicken meal etc) . We stayed several nights and our room was not serviced at all. It was not cleaned and no replenishment of coffee or milk or soaps etc. We found this a bit disappointing. Nice area and good walks nearby.
