This place is beautiful and they treat you like family! The night manager is super helpful and full of great information on the area! The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean right from your room! Perfect for looking at the sunrise!

Excellent welcome and hospitality. The breakfast is really good. Very calm and relaxing . Everything is ok except no wifi in the bedroom.

Sehr familiär, die Mitarbeiter haben sich sehr bemüht und waren stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gab nie ein Nein. Die Gastgeberin hat uns sehr nützliche Tipps sowohl für Kapstadt als auch für das Hinterland gegeben. Das Whale View Manor lieg für eine Fahrt nach Kapstadt gut, da man von dort aus den wundervollen Chapmans Peak fahren kann.

This review relates directly to the SPA at Whale View Manor. The experience for all four of us family members was most undesirable! We booked months in advance for a pre-wedding family Nail Spa treat for the bride of the family, we were looking forward to the experience. A special mention was made that the nails were for the wedding day! We contacted the Management with concerns about our booking after reading some concerning reviews about the Spa. We were assured by Management that all would be good and there was nothing to fear. The quality of the treatment was below all standards we have ever experienced. One of the family members cancelled her treatment as soon as a botched attempt to soak off gel left her in tears. The choice of sub-quality nail products was dismal. We left with dignity but saddened that the bride's spoil was "Spoilt" for her wedding day!

I booked here with high hopes as a place to savour the stunning coast, the potential to see whales, and the possibility of being able to conduct work effectively and smoothly in an apparently 4 star rated hotel. Meeting the hostess and owner was a delight. The internet connectivity was intermittent at very best - it was actually a disaster and it was impossible even to search for alternative accommodation. I had to take myself elsewhere to find a local cafe that could sustain calls over zoom effectively. Free wifi being advertised on the site is a flight of fancy - yes it is free - but it does not work which at the rates that they are charging is simply not OK in these times. Our hostess clearly knew and promised I would be able to access the internet from the lounge as it would not work in the bedrooms... There was no desk or surface to work on in the bedroom and both the toilet roll holder and the towel wrack were loose and coming out of the wall. Our shower was cold the first night and morning. Only when asked for the following day was there hot water. The shower pressure was sad at best. Parking is tight and can only be reached up a very, very steep gauntlet drive. It is dangerous coming down on to the main road. Our bill was reduced by 15% on departure. Reflecting now I see what a sad missed-opportunity Whale View Manor is. I hope and pray that these essential practical matters can and will be attended to as a matter of urgency. I wish them well.

Eine hervorragende Unterkunft an der False Bay mit tollem Blick auf das Meer und einen langen südlichen Abschnitt der Küste. Erst um 10:30 Uhr angekommen haben wir dennoch ein sehr gutes Frühstück bekommen. Die Hotelleitung und das Personal waren sehr zuvorkommend. Nach einigen Stunden Erholung auf dem Balkon (bei Sonnenschein!) sind wir entlang der Küste zur wenige Kilometer entfernten Penguin Colony gewandert - ein sich lohnender Spaziergang. Abends versank die Sonne spektakulär im Ozean. Das Whale View Manor & Spa war für uns eine ideale Zwischenstation für unseren Ausflug von Kapstadt an das stürmische Kap der Guten Hoffnung und zum Cape Point. Es gab nichts auszusetzen.

Een heel leuk klein hotelletje met een gastvrije bedieningen een super lekker ontbijt. De kamers zij netjes , alles is beschikbaar. Een super mooi uitzicht over de zee met klein strandje. Zouden we zeker terug boeken !

Calme, cosy, très bon petit déjeuner, vue de la terrasse pour contempler la mer et les baleines. Gentillesse des hôtes, le wi-fi est un peu capricieux dans les chambres mais qu'il est peut-être bon d'être déconnecté!

There is no doubt that Whaleview Manor boasts the most exquisite views on this part of the coastline, a gorgeous regal house with a fantastic beach 30m from its driveway. Lovely sea-facing rooms BUT all of this soon pales when the manager/hostess Elsa proved to be a cantankerous, visibly irritated, impolite and ungracious person. Our remarks about stained sheets on our newly made bed; cold coffee at breakfast, were met with disdain, downright rudeness. She insisting on speaking Afrikaans thinking I didn't understand, and insulted when we moved from one table to another because of a cold draft in the breakfast dining room- truly SHOCKING. We were there for one night, to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary, but it honestly seemed like this person was determined to make it as unpleasant as possible... and she did. Wont be back there. Count on that.
