Forse l hotel più bello in cui sono stata, le camere sono meravigliose, così come il salotto e la biblioteca. Non aspettatevi spazi enormi perché il tutto è in linea con lo stile portoghese e case antiche; la nostra camera era molto piccola con bagno piccolo ma funzionale e una doccia ampia. Asciugamani molto morbidi e riscaldamento. L unico aspetto da rivedere secondo me è la colazione: molto limitata, non ci hanno chiesto se volessimo un espresso o un cappuccino, servizio limitato a portare della frutta, degli affettati e formaggi. Da vegana (cosa per cui avevo avvisato) la scelta era limitata a pane frutta cereali e bibite

This place was absolutely charming with lots of characteristics!! We stayed 2 nights in the room 'Moon River'(queen size bed). The room was very clean, spacious and with lovely big windows. We appreciated the attention in the small details. Breakfast was great and met our needs (cold and hot options). The location was excellent and walking distance (15min) to old town of Sintra (keep in mind you're on a mountain so lots of hills/steep climbs). Plenty of free street parking in the "loop", but if theres a church service or such then parking can be challenging in the loop. I would absolutely go back to this place! We regret not staying one more night, there is so much to visit/see in Sintra with all the different Palaces and Heritage sites.

While we only stayed one night the experience was phenomenal. The accomodation itself was really lovely, charming and comfortable (one of the best nights sleep in Portugal). The pool was great after a hike up to the nearby Moorish Castle and Palace Pena. The staff were attentive, informative and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here and my only regret is we didn’t stay for longer!

Moldy room and musty smell! Do not stay here! I stayed in the Grimaldi room and it stunk of a musty unbearable smell. I barely slept. There was evidence of mold in the rooms. If you google the hotel There are other sites where people had the same issue. It’s an absolute shame because the decor is beautifully done and the room was spacious and is in a quiet area away from the tourists. I woke up feeling groggy and unwell from the mold. Stay away at all costs!

We had a terrible and the worst experience ever at this accommodation. The room was filled with mold—on the walls, around the windows, and even the ceiling. The humidity level was a shocking 85%, as shown on the thermostat in the room. It was damp, musty, and absolutely unhealthy to stay in. This is completely unacceptable. Stay away please now you still can. The worst part? The owners were fully aware of the situation. They admitted that the mold had been there for a long time and yet continue to rent out the room without addressing the problem. They initially promised us a refund, but when it came down to it, they refused to follow through. This was not just unpleasant, it felt unsafe and dishonest. We would strongly advise others to avoid this place!
