羅納酒店(Hôtel du Rhône)

Nous avons passé 3 nuits. La facilité de parking en souterrain sous l'hôtel est un plus. le personnel est agréable et serviable. Les chambres commencent à veillir et certains détails mériteraient d'être refaits comme dans la salle de bain. Nous avons été réveillés à plusieurs reprises par des bruits à l'extérieur de l'hôtel (fêtards) et par des voisins très bruyants qui se disputent à 6h00 le matin pendant une heure ou ou d'autres qui déplacent les meubles à 5h30. Le petit-déjeuner est bon, mais le service au buffet a été difficile à deux reprises par la présence massive de touristes chinois de passage qui se comportaient comme des sauvages devant les buffets. Ils semblent que l'hôtel accueille des cars de touristes de passage et que cela puisse être un défi pour la gestion des petits-déjeuners ou d'autres services. Par exemple, l'ascenceur a été monopolisé durant plus de 15 minutes et nous avons dû accéder au cinquième étage par les escaliers. L'hôtel est bien situé pour visiter Sion.

Hôtel parfaitement situé pour visiter cette bell vieille-ville de Sion. Accueil très professionnel et sympathique.

Die Dame beim Check in hat uns ewig warten lassen obwohl sie uns gesehen hatte weil sie ein wichtiges Telefonat machen musste. Anscheinend wichtiger als ihre Gäste. Danach war Sie auch noch pampig weil wir ihr gesagt haben dass wir es nicht gut finden so lange warten zu müssen. Wir haben zwei kleine Hunde dabei. Minis. Die sind ganz ruhig aber wenn sie mal allein sind und jemand an der Tür klopft bellen sie. Das ist an einem morgen wegen dem Frühstück passiert. Ich muss dazu sagen wir hatten das Kärtchen bitte nicht stören an die Tür gehangen. Als wir zurück waren kommt die, schon bekannte unfreundliche Dame, vom Empfang und klopft an der Tür (obwohl das Kärtchen da noch Gang!) um uns zu sagen dass sich angeblich Gäste über das bellen beschwert haben. Sehr hundefreundlich ist das Hotel anscheinend doch nicht. Sion war an sich ein schönes Städtchen und das Hotel in einer guten Lage. Parkplatz und Hund haben je Nacht je10€ zusätzlich gekostet.

Made a reservation for 2 rooms at this hotel at 2:34pm in the afternoon and then learned that a major snow storm would prevent us from continuing to our final destination. So we cancelled the reservation at 3:12pm (38 minutes later) and were charged the full cost of both rooms. I understand a no-cancellation policy. But honestly, did a 38-minute reservation really cost them anything? I would never stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone.

Nice, clean and functional hotel, although would need a good refreshment ... Very conveniently situated in the heart of the city with everything available at short walking distance. Very convenient underground parking with direct lift access to hotel. Quiet rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Have used the hotel several times per year for the last years and always same quality and welcome.

We like the location of the hotel,the staff was nice but not great, parking situation is not great. They don’t tell you if you get late you are to be locked out of the parking,one night we were able to get in with a card they gave us, next night they didn’t have the card and we had to park somewhere else that at the end was cheaper. They didn’t apologized or cared about our inconvenience.

We loved our stay and the hotel. Very friendly staff. The hotel room was as advertised. The view of the Basilica de Valera was magnificent. It’s an easy walk to all the sights in Sion. Parking was easy.

The hotel is very nice. Good location (10 min from the train station by walk). It’s easy to communicate with the reception in English. The room is super clean and enough room for a couple. A surprise for us is that we have a castle view from the room window. The restaurant downstairs is recommended (good food with reasonable price).

We stayed at the Hotel du Rhone for several nights, in the triple room which was a very decent sized room and a welcome change from most of our recent hotel rooms. This is a more traditional hotel room with a large attached bathroom, complete with bathtub (+Shower) and a bidet alongside the toilet. We had a room with a good view out to the Rhone valley, and the Chateau de Valere up on the hill - which was lit up at night. There wasn't any air conditioning but for some reason the hotel room remained relatively cool, although we had to open the window to let the cooler air in - at night, this meant that we could hear noise from the street, and in the early morning, the road construction crew sometimes woke us up with their machinery. Obviously this is only a temporary issue but visitors should bear this in mind in the hotter summer months. The beds were comfortable and everything was provided for, there is also a restaurant attached to this hotel although we did not try it. An easy and excellent breakfast can be had only a short stroll away at one of many cafes in Sion's old town. Very well located, right at the edge of the old town, and only about a 15 min walk to the train station. WiFi was decent, and there was also a sizeable safe provided for valuables and laptops. They also provided a kettle and some tea making equipment (as well as a variety of teabags). Definitely ticked most of our boxes!
