Beautiful location, but poor experience. We were overcharged compared to the quoted rate, the lodge was not cleaned before arrival, and we were later billed unexpected fees. Several amenities (dishwasher, hot tub) were broken, and the hot tub was also unsafe by electrical code standards. Communication from management was unprofessional — I would not recommend staying here.

Bryce is the best host ever! The sleeping is like Heaven with cloud like sheets, duvets and pillows. The common area has everything you could possibly need and then some! The short path to the private beach is amazing! I had booked 3 nights but then came back unannounced and stayed again in my choice of rooms! Definitely a 10 star for the one!

The room was clean and looked newly updated and they provided soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The shared kitchen and living room area were spacious and well stocked with everything you could need but the kitchen was quite cluttered and it seemed that other guests were not following the listed rules as to not leaving your personal items all over and not leaving your dishes in the rack to dry but to put them away. There was a large group staying there with a lot of kids which prevented us from using the hot tub but it looked like a nice amenity to have. The hosts were very nice and welcoming but the best way to contact them when you arrive and if you need anything is by telephone or text but we did not have cel service so it as a problem for us. Fortunately there was another couple staying in the room next to us that we had seen previously on our trip who were nice enough to text for us when we were trying to check in and when we needed more toilet paper.

This property is inviting and unique in that the common kitchen and dining facilities can get guests to socialize with each other and share Haida Gwaii experiences.

The location is great and a short walk to the beach. The rooms we stayed in were clean and new but the window coverings did not completely cover the windows. Walls were very thin and you could hear your neighbours in the next room (and the hot tub pump that went on and off all night). The kitchen and common area was older and could have used a good cleaning.
