我們最近於 2022 年 9 月 12 日至 14 日入住了斯科加爾酒店，對酒店的條件和設施感到非常失望。請注意，他們宣傳有熱水浴缸、桑拿浴室和餐廳，但當我們在那裡時，這些都沒有開放。兩晚我們都必須步行到斯科加瀑布酒店吃晚餐。此外，我們房間的淋浴間發霉了，讓我們感到噁心。熱水有股難聞的硫磺味。早餐很豐盛，房間很乾淨。輕鬆步行即可到達瀑布。

This hotel has gone seriously downhill with the current owner. My first suspicions were confirmed when we arrived to find weeds growing through the brick entryway. It had obviously been neglected for some time. Also: Cobwebs and spiders in the room. Hot tub covered in green mold. Nails and screws poking out of the wall above our bed where artwork once hung. Nothing nice about the dining room, no table cloths etc. Dinner mediocre at best (said his chef was off). Again just the one owner working. No staff. Coffee machine broken. Arrived at breakfast to find a couple of undercooked sausages and a few slices of bread, no yogurt, cheese, or other things one normally finds at an Icelandic breakfast buffet. This used to be a ligit 4 star boutique property.

The Pros: It is very close to the skogafoss waterfall and the check in process was easy. The cons: hot tub not working the night we checked in. The hot water in the bathroom's sink and shower smelled like rotten eggs (sulfur smell). It made us feel nauseous. They didnt give us an access key to the main door and one night we went to have dinner and came back around 11pm. The door was locked and we were in the rain for a little while until I knocked very loud on the door and a guy that stated that he is the owner showed up to open the door. I have never seen a hotel lock its door and leave people outside without a key. Breakfast: they will have some sausage, bacon and weird cooked eggs, some bread, ham & Cheese, juice and Yogurt. If it comes included with the reservation that is okay but otherwise its not worth paying extra for that.

The check in was okay. There a younger blond guy at the reception was nice and courteous. The issues we had: The hot tub was not working, The breakfast had very limited options (if it is included with your room fee is better then nothing - BUT I would not pay extra for that). The hot water smelled really bad - like rotten eggs and that made us nauseous. Additionally, they only gave us the room key, no key to the main door. We got to the hotel at 11pm and the door was locked. PS: It was pooring rain - luckily someone opened the door.

Location was good. Not a lot positive to say beyond that. It needs a lot more TLC.

Stayed here on a recent trip and was pretty disappointed. Paper thin walls, water smelled like sulfur, the lock to unlock the door stopped working and almost locked us out. Ended up with a bad night's sleep from people hanging out in the common area downstairs late and smelling like sulfur because I tried to take a shower. Would recommend staying in Vik where theres more food/things to do or just anywhere else I guess. Only bright spot was the staff helping to retrieve a forgotten item.

Great location! EXCELLENT staff. Plan on coming back again soon.

Had a great time very close to waterfall and breakfast was great. Liked the drink machine so we could all choose what we liked.

Bathroom was very small. Water in bathroom shower and sink smelled like rotten eggs. Need more counter space in room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
