First the bad and this is why we will never return to this resort.
This resort could have been literally in the middle of the desert and it wouldn’t have made any difference. It is a stamped out Hyatt(which I didn’t know before I got there)
There was no local culture or theme in the rooms. The only culture was the buffet where they have some Mexican dishes.
This resort was advertised as all-inclusive, 5 star resort, HA! No way! No alcohol in the rooms, ok a couple of mini-beers and a bunch of soda. You could get top shelf at the outside bars. The beef at all restaurants was so tough that I stopped ordering it and sent it all back, prime rib was tasteless and tough, rib eye had gristle and no taste. When I brought it up to management and suggested they get a better cut of meat, the response was “ we’ll have them soak it in pineapple juice longer” not hey, for $700+/day, you’re right, we can do better. Anyway the whole, all inclusive was very disappointing and did not meet the standard of other 5 star all inclusive I have been to.
Swim up bar was nice although some of the underwater barstools are showing signs of rusting and staining the pool.
Room and room staff was amazing. Turn down service and cleaning was top notch.
Spa was WAAAAAY overpriced, $250USD/hr for a massage? That said the amenities were very nice. Hydrotherapy, sauna, and steam room were all very nice as were the lay out and staff
