We booked a three-night stay at this hotel but left right after checking in because the conditions were unacceptable. There was a large hole right at the entrance with no warning signs or barriers, which was a serious safety hazard—especially since we were traveling with our young child. The room itself was extremely dirty, with visible blood stains on the bed linens and a strong moldy odor. It was obvious the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. Within a short time of being in the room, our child developed a rash, so we left immediately and booked another hotel. This place was unsafe and unsanitary, and I would strongly caution anyone—especially families with children—against staying here.

This place is very cute, in a cool jungle setting, and far from the hustle and bustle of downtown Playa, which was a little too loud for us. If you want to access downtown Playa, you are very near the Main Street where you can hop on a collectivo for $30mx. The breakfast and coffee was good. This location is an excellent starting point if you’re doing Xcaret, since the hotel is essentially on the Xcaret property. It’s walking distance to a few of the parks. And of course, monkeys. Everybody loves monkeys. We fed some bananas to the spider monkeys and they couldn’t have been cuter. There was a couple issues with power, but it didn’t affect us and was beyond the control of the staff, who were very nice and helpful. Thanks to the staff for making our Xcaret park enjoyable!

Hands down the best get away place. If you like peace and quiet, It’s a smaller place with nature all around. The staff is one of the best I’ve ever had so attentive and friendly from the moment you arrive to the moment you close your car door to leave. The atmosphere is peaceful the place is clean. The host were amazing helping us secure a cab that won’t charge an arm an a leg. They also give you recommendations to places based on your interest. We visited XCARET, the night guard waited outside with a lamp for us to make sure we were ok. At night they close the gates which made me feel extra safe and secure. Their restaurant staff amazing as well. I will definitely be back.
