I can highly recommend this Guesthouse! We stayed there for 5 nights with girlfriends, each had our own room, and we were super friendly welcomed and served by Jacqueline and her family! Cozy spacious rooms, neatly maintained, nice breakfast with delicious cappuccinos, an honesty bar, free parking, nice restaurants close by, ... You name it! It is very pleasant to relax or have a drink on the terrace as well as at the pool! Also a perfect location in terms of driving towards Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Cape Town! I have stayed at Stellendal twice and when I am down for work (my offices are in Somerset west) I will never stay anywhere else. The hospitality and the environment is nothing short of perfect. If you there for a wedding weekend, weekend away or business trip ; it has it all. Highly recommend!!

Stellendal is an excellent guesthouse. Service is friendly, breakfast is delicious, rooms are very comfortable. I'll definitely return once I'm back in Somerset West. You'll love the comfortable rooms.

Was a lovely place to stay, with a very friendly welcome. It is perfectly situated. The room was clean, comfortable and was perfect for my needs. The facilities are good and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I was blown away by the amazing service from Jaqueline. I called late at night looking for accommodations as my hubby was taken to the ER had to stay over night at the MediClinic. I was blown away by the way Jacqueline empathised with my situation and her understanding and willingness to help me made a huge impact. My alternative oils have been a 2 hour drive back home i the middle of th night. Jacqueline went above and beyond and is a huge asset to the establishment . Highly recommended. My room was peaceful, with a extremely comfortable bed and high quality pure white cotton bedding. Breakfast was delicious. Setting was beautiful, wished I could have stayed under less stressful conditions as the garden and the pool area looks amazing.

Our stay was onforgettleble, the cottage, the garden, the breakfast, the room and the bed, all was very good, it makes us very happy! Even in a for us a difficult time of sickness the host was very friendly and helpfull!

I initially stayed at Stellendal guest house for just a single night but it was such a delight that I changed my plans and stayed for 5. The entire experience from check-in to check-out was excellent. The B&B is clearly run by an experienced and professional team as everything at the house was in impeccable condition - the gardens/pool were well kept, the house and rooms were spotless and the breakfast was scrumptious. I honestly can't say enough good about this place. To me, it felt like a home from home. The house decor is sympathetic to tradition but modern and culturally interesting and the bedrooms were well appointed with everything you could need including fans for the summer heat and wide open windows. The linen was fresh and crisp and large clean towels were supplied for the swimming pool. The staff were another gem to this guest house. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable of the local areas - always on hand to help with a cheery smile and positive attitude. What an absolute delight. Although the house is not within walking distance of the beach, the views of the mountains were sublime and the location to the town centre was ideal. Right across the road is Chelsea Village which includes interesting and independent curio shops, a hairdresser, a jewellery store and 2 excellent restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful holiday! We will see you with the wider family in December.

Only needed a place to sleep for 1 night after a wedding and it did the job. Our room was stuffy, dark and basic with little privacy - no soap in any dispenser, chipped cupboards, dark bathroom without a window.... but I suppose you get what you pay for - and with a OK breakfast thrown in a fair deal. With some maintenance, new interior, better housekeeping and TLC this lovely manor house can become the Grande Dame it is supposed to be.

Beste plek om je vakantie in Zuid-Afrika te beginnen. Heerlijke accommodatie in Somerset op korte afstand van Kaapstad en Stellenbosch met vele activiteiten, wijnhuizen en restaurants in de buurt. Ideaal om met gezin te verblijven. Raad dan zeker de river cottage aan. Zeer ruim en uitzicht op het zwembad met tevens een kitchenette in de kamer. Maar voor ons is de gastvrijheid ook heel belangrijk, en hier weten ze wat service is. Met elke dag een glimlach en een heerlijk ontbijt kan de rest van je dag niet meer stuk. Inmiddels meerdere keren verbleven en komen zeker terug.
