Live Oak 民宿(Live Oak B&B)

Melissa heet je welkom in dit prachtige grote houten familiehuis met vele kamers. Wij hadden een grote sfeervolle kamer met ruime badkamer en fijne handdoeken. Vanuit het huis zijn we naar, het voor ons typisch Amerikaanse centrum van Glen Rose gewandeld en hebben heerlijk gegeten. Op de terugweg alle dinosaurussen die in de tuinen staan bewonderd. In de tuin van Melissa staat de mooiste, maar ook een heerlijk warm bubbelbad. ‘s Ochtends zijn we verwend met een uitgebreid ontbijt. We voelden ons erg welkom.

Once again I'm so grateful to my fellow Tripadvisor contributors for sharing their experiences at the Live Oak B&B. This was a first-class experience in every way. The directions were perfect and on arrival there was plenty of parking in the back of the property and a note on the door to tell us how to access our room. We stayed in the Silver Dollar room, very spacious, squeaky clean with a king bed and tastefully decorated. They even had a game room on the property with a foosball table in it. My wife and I were immediately transported back to the 1970s!!! That evening we enjoyed the cool air sitting outside on the upper deck, then saw a wooden deck below surrounding an enormous live oak tree. We moved down there and felt like we were in a tree house looking out over the town below. The hosts, Ron and Melissa, are warm, gracious and so interesting. Breakfast the next morning was cooked hot and fresh onsite with eggs, fruit, sausage, pancakes, juice, coffee and a chia seed pudding that was delicious (and healthy!). Highly recommended. We want to go back!!!

This is a lovely B&B on a quiet street but within walking distance to the town square. The living area, coffee bar area and outdoor covered patio (with hot tub) are available to guests and Melissa (owner) leaves a freshly baked treat on the kitchen table for guests. I stayed in the Mighty Oak room at the end of the hallway. It was very spacious with a king bed and an additional bunk bed (full bed on bottom, twin on top). Even though I was alone, it would have been spacious enough for a couple with a child or two, or for a girls' get-together. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower/tub combo (grab bars also). Breakfast was served buffet style in the kitchen and was outstanding. The hosts are very gracious and the home is super clean. However, I do have just a couple comments: the king mattress in the Mighty Oak room is very soft; if you are in need of a firm mattress, this may not be the best choice. Also, it would have been nice to have a box of Kleenex in the room. March is definitely allergy season in Texas and I ran out of my travel-size tissues. Other than that, I will definitely stay here again!

We were so surprised to stumble upon this gem of a B&B in Glen Rose. The owner Melissa, greeted us upon our arrival. She proceeded to show us the amenities. The room was spacious. The B&B offers breakfast, which is personally prepared by Melissa, there is a patio, and so many other amenities that make this B&B so unique. It truly is a hidden gem. We are so looking forward to future stays here.

We really love the decorations, the peace, and that everything was a walkable distance.

We were very happy with the environment and the people. They were friendly welcoming and someone that we can call friends.
