The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. At our previous hotel we had left our electrical adapters. Your step gave us a spare that you had. Located in the heart of Sorrento, the Hilton is one of the area's largest hotels. The lobby is spacious and modern and check-in was relatively easy. The staff tried their best to upgrade our rooms for us but wasn't able to, although I appreciated their effort. We booked two rooms and both were modern, good size, and clean with a large patio. I would highly recommend booking a room with the water view. Our's (409 and 410) faced the large flat cliff face where the main entrance to the hotel is. The room includes breakfast buffet every morning. The food was just okay, sufficient to get your day started. It would have been nice if they changed up the selection but it was the same every day. But the views from your table can be breathtaking. On the roof of the hotel are two restaurants, Happyissmo and J, the Japanese restaurant. The former also having a (small) pool and patio that you can book. We ate one night at J and found the food delicious. The pool is quite large and its multi-tiers provide plenty of room without it getting crowded. We were there for a week in mid-July and never found the pool crowded. Pool-side service was pleasant too. The location of the hotel is away from main center (Storico Centro) which makes it nice and quiet. You can walk to the center, which would take probably about 15-20 minutes, but with the heat, we chose to take a taxi. For the four of us, the price ranged from 14-20 euros (not sure why). Being so close to the center, also means that it's close to the ferry that takes you to various points of interest. We used it twice to go to Capri (~20 minutes). Make sure to book the return ticket ahead of time too. Overall we greatly enjoyed this hotel and would certainly consider staying here again.

Well where do I start? Let’s start at the very beginning and hopefully I don’t forget anything! I’ve just returned from a ten night stay here. On arrival reception were just lovely and very welcoming. Check in was very quick and efficient. The gentleman explained what they could arrange in the way of excursions for you - I already had mine booked prior to leaving home. That even explained the tourist tax of 4 euros per night for the maximum of seven nights. One member of staff showed me to my room whilst the bell boy brought my luggage to my room. The bedroom was lovely and large. Nice and cool and very efficient air conditioning. Bed was very comfortable. Nice balcony with a table, two chairs and partial sea view looking over bay of Naples and Marina Picalo Bathroom nice and large with toiletries supplied. Housekeeping twice daily. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had. Choice of food very large and all buffet style. Antonio and his staff a credit to the hotel. Hotel very centrally located. Within easy walking distance of everywhere. Will I be back yes.

The location is great—close enough to walk to the city center but separated enough to be quiet at night. Felt safe walking home at night after dinner. The amenities are very nice. The “beach” is actually a dock that you can access via an elevator. There are steps down into the water for swimming and you can order drinks while you lounge. Domenico is the main attendant and he is wonderful—very attentive and accommodating! Up on the cliffside the pool is also nice. Interestingly, the “hot tub” is not actually hot, it is the same temperature as the pool but there are jacuzzi jets. This is likely a common practice in Italy as the same was true in the other hotels we stayed in. Lorenza at the pool is amazing—she gave us a bunch of great restaurant recommendations for good food reasonably priced, and she even called ahead and told them it was our anniversary, ensuring that we were taken care of. The gym is serviceable, one treadmill, a couple other machines and some free weights. We thought the restaurant was good for lunch (you can’t beat the view) but for dinner you can find a better meal in town if you do some looking. The breakfast spread is quite good with fresh fruit, typical European breakfast items and an omelette bar. The staff can make or break a hotel experience and both Domenico and Lorenza made our experience so great. In addition to providing wonderful service, they were great to talk to and welcomed us to Italy with warmth and kindness! We look forward to returning and seeing them again.

The pictures of the hotel are lovely, but it was more worn in person. We had a family room for four people, and when we arrived, it needed to be set up for all four of us. An additional cot was added, leaving the room with beds across the width. It made the room very tight, with no actual room for luggage. The breakfast buffet was good. The lunch and dinner menu was not as good.
