Un paraíso entre las callecitas que suben y bajan de Sorrento. En la recepción Roberta, amable y facilitadora como el resto de su familia. Nos dieron una habitación que casi era un depto, con su patio, mesa y sillas. El desayuno completísimo y el bufet de la pileta genial!!! Muy recomendable las habitaciones como las cabañas con las que cuenta. Volveremos!!

Just spent a week here, intend returning in the future. A very laid back, relaxing holiday. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt like family, something very lacking last year in Madeira. It's peaceful and relaxing, a short walk downhill into Sorrento where all the restaurants and shops are. There are takeaways along the route so you can grab a snack which we did a few times. Breakfast is continental, buffet style and the pool bar serves snacks which are really good. A lovely setting, 5 mins walk to a local market. We had a lovely time, thankyou!

A love hotel. Almost like staying in someone's grand house. I had a small room rather than a wooden cabin. Couldn't fault anything. Very helpful staff. Due to being a small hotel, you feel part of the family, if you know what I mean. Re other comments of the last few yards back to hotel. The final climb is a challenge, especially if you've been walking all day, and had a full bowl of pasta and a couple of glasses of vino. By the way. The last part of the road is narrow and is busy. Care is needed,especially after dark.

We booked here as it suited our budget and because of its proximity to the center of Sorrento. We were not disappointed, it's a little gem. But really it's the staff that make the place special. Antoinetta and Roberta were especially friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Their recommendations for tours and day trips was spot on, if you get the chance make sure to do the " Path to the Gods " walk, fabulous experience.

We went here in late July/early August for 2 weeks and just had the most fantastic holiday going. This hotel is well located, being a 5 minute walk down the hill, to the main square in Sorrento. The walk back up, is a challenge. If you are old/unfit/drunk then it's advisable to get a cab back up (the last 50 yards are tough) But that's where the negatives end. This hotel is a family run business and the staff cannot do enough for you. You'll have seen on other reviews here, that they get plenty of plaudits, but they don't do them justice. Antonietta and Daniella are the ladies you see the most, and they are two of the most kind hearted and helpful people I've ever come across. They literally could not do enough for you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Antonietta will book everything for you, give you honest assessments of local restaurants, the reception staff will order takeaways for you, cabs, excursions, dining reservations, the lot. Daniella is a delight to chat to around the bar area, the service is great and the food that you can order for lunch was well priced and tasty. The hotel is a lovely, smallish facility with a real nice, almost bohemian atmosphere around it. The pool area is lovely. The sunbeds are 5 euros for the day, and the deck chairs are free. The pool itself is perfect to laze around in, and when we went, it was practically warm. The bungalow/lodges are perfect for what you need. They are not new, but they are clean and functional and we had a lovely balcony terrace overlooking orange and lemon groves, that we spent a lot of time on, playing cards, drinking wine and reminiscing about the day. My partner turned 50 while we were there and we got engaged the same day. Once again, the staff were amazing. Balloons, Champagne, and they sorted out a wonderful restaurant for us in the evening with live music and gorgeous food. We did all the excursions possible, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Positano, Amalfi, Vesuvious et al. It was warm. We went in July. What did we expect. But they were all incredible and well worth the money. There are lots of fabulous restaurants locally, and despite decent reviews elsewhere, personally I'd avoid the Foreigners Club. Overrated. Overpriced. Sorrento is beautiful. You can spend money there. But we went with the attitude that you only live once. It was a fabulous holiday, in a great venue, and Antonietta, Daniella, Roberto etc, if you every read these reviews, just know that you made our two weeks there, the happiest of occasions and we will never forget you. Villagio Verde is a family run beautiful, relaxing place, set in a citrus orchard. I am a repeat guest.It is near the town for shopping, and ferries , buses and trains. Linking you to places like the towns on the Amalfi coast, Naples Pompei and Herculaneum and the Islands of Capri and Ischia. There is a steep hill , as a disabled person, with mobility issues, I can negotiate the hill, finding subsequent walks up the hill becoming easier and my strength Improving day by day. The reception staff are so helpful, efficient, patient and friendly. They can advise on and book trips. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast and Lunch is available all prepared by Rosaria, who is an excellent cook and baker. I have enjoyed all her food. The pool/bar has beautiful views and lovely peaceful atmosphere. The bungalows have really comfortable beds, lovely showers and kitchens, plus a great veranda to read, eat or just chill out. They are cared for by hardworking, efficient cleaning staff, Each and everybody always has a good morning and lovely smiles for all guests. I have great liking and respect for all.

Couldn't wait to go home. Bitten constantly and repeatedly by mosquitoes despite trying everything. The staff are lovely but the cleaning standards leave a lot to be desired. Had to ask for room to be cleaned. Beds being made and bin emptied don't add up to cleanliness. Sun loungers are 5 euros and the road down and up is steep and can be dangerous. Sorrento is beautiful but very expensive prepare to have deep pockets

We've just spent a week here and would definitely return. A very chilled out, relaxing holiday in a gorgeous setting. The staff were lovely, chatty and friendly and so helpful. It's so calm surrounded by trees and plants. We didnt stay in the hotel, we stayed in a wooden bungalow which had a small kitchen and a private terrace so were able to prepare food and eat outside. The accommodation is only a short walk downhill into Sorrento where all the restaurants and shops are. We loved it.

What a fantastic holiday we've just had at Villaggio Verde. From start to finish the staff were so friendly and attentive. We booked two excursions through the hotel, and they were fantastic, well organised and picked up and dropped off from the hotel. We stayed in hut 112 for 11 nights, it was basic, but had everything we needed and deceivingly spacious. Two ring hob, fridge with small freezer section to store well needed ice pops! Plates cutlery and a couple of pots and pans - easy to rustle up a simple pasta dish or risotto as my husband did! There is actually plenty of storage, two chests of drawers and a large wardrobe for clothes. Not too much space for food, but we managed fine storing it on a low table and obviously the fridge. Shower was great, beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked fine but it isn't in the main bedroom so we did have to have our door open to get the cool air, but this wasn't an issue. The whole area is covered in lush citrus trees, canopies of plants and flowers, so pretty. The bar is fab, food at lunch time was very tasty and reasonably priced. The pool is lovely, and we often had it to ourselves which was fab! You do need to pay for sunbeds, 5 euros per bed per day, but the deckchairs are free and perfectly comfortable. There is a well stocked, well priced supermarket about 5 minutes walk down hill, a fabulous - must go to restaurant is next to it, food was amazing and the waiting staff are incredible! An experience not to be missed! Let's address the hill - it is very steep for about 2 minutes, and carried a 6 pack of water and other shopping was exhausting and hot in 38 degree heat, but it's doable, gets easier the more you do it, and wouldn't put me off staying again, however less mobile or even pushing a pushchair or wheelchair up would require a certain level of fitness in my opinion. There were two very friendly cats that will want to come into your hut, so if you're not a cat lover that might annoy you, but those that are cat lovers will adore them as we did! Its only about 15 minutes walk to the Plazzo Tasso and the little streets of Sorrento, all very beautiful. You will pay more in restaurants in the square and at the Grande Marina, but there are 100's amongst the little streets with fair prices. Excursions we did were Pompei, and a boat trip to Amalfi and Positano, both an absolute must! All in all, we fell in love with the area, and its a great base to many attractions, and days out. The hotel is tranquil, peaceful, friendly, rustic and utterly charming.

We had an amazing week here. The pool bar is reasonably priced and the food is excellent, restaurant quality at a good price. Everyone were so friendly and welcoming. The location is great. A short, slightly hair raising walk to the center of Sorrento. We stayed in a cute little wooden hut equipped with a fridge, kettle and two hobs. Comfortable beds, air conditioning and a working shower. The shower was not sealed so we had to use towels to dry the floor but it didn't affect our enjoyment of the stay. The sun loungers are €5 per person per day but the air conditioning and safe are not charged extra for. I discovered that you can book a lounger the day before and choose which one you want. We are already planning a return stay here. Thank you for such a great experience!

Attending a family wedding so lots of us decided to stay here. Basic but clean , beautiful setting, lovely food, bar area and pool - a little oasis! Can walk to the local market on a Tuesday from here - worth a look! Staff could not be more friendly - Daniella was the kindest of hosts. Located on a hill - but that’s Sorrento so to be expected! Taxis up and down into the square are very expensive if you are not able to walk. Otherwise a fab location!!!

This place is highly recommended so much so that we booked again for next year whilst on our stay , the family are lovely and made our stay really special ,Daniella the owner is lovely and her sisters cooking is outstanding ,fabulous , she made us some lovely meals , the location is very quiet and just what I need to relax ,just to say a big thank you to all at villagio verde for a wonderful stay ,see you next year

If you’re looking for a little peace of heaven away from the mayhem, this is the place for you. It’s absolutely beautiful and the staff are absolutely wonderful. It’s easily the friendliest place that we’ve ever stayed and felt so welcomed from the minute we arrived. The place itself is surrounded by lemon and orange trees, the rooms are clean and air conditioned and if there’s anything you need that aren’t in them, just ask at reception and they will sort for you. The pool area is so pretty - and very appreciated on warmer days. Antionette and Roberto (who are amazing) helped us with some tours and they were all brilliant. We did Capri, Amalfi and Positano and Pompei and all three were worth every penny and cheaper than booking through Tui. Yes it’s on a small hill but this was not at all a problem for us and if you’re trying to avoid hills, Sorrento may not be the best place for you in general! We will absolutely be back and wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else. Thank you so much Villagio Verde for making our holiday so enjoyable x

We are just back from out 2nd visit to Villagio Verde and again it did not disappoint. We stayed in a bungalow which was spotless and cleaned daily and served all our needs. The staff are so helpful and friendly and we felt like they were trying their upmost to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We also paid for breakfast each morning which was good quality and good value too. It is a 10 minute walk downhill to the main square in Sorrento. We will definitely be back to Villagio Verde. Thank you for a lovely stay.
