索倫託酒店(Hotel Sorrento)

Stayed a couple of nights in this beautifully renovated hotel, We were in room 8, which came with an awesome balcony with really nice ocean views. Bed and pillows were super comfy, and everything in the room worked and was well presented. Bathroom well appointed, and the showerhead was awesome. Our only negative would be that the bathroom is quite small. No other issues at all! Yummy breakfast and coffee. Pool area looked fantastic (but we did not use).

Excellent dinner with 2 young children. Low Gluten chicken steak was delicious and a generous serve. Fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Wait staff were very attentive and provided colouring in. Children's meal was enough for 2x children under 4 years.

Loved our 2 night stay. We stayed just before the holiday crowds descended. Stayed at the poolside room. Complimentary brekky was delicious - and waited by the loveliest staff. Room was clean and new. Wifi was a bit slow but not a deal breaker. Location was perfect as you can walk to the beach and the shops. We are already planning for our next trip back.

Have stayed here before and should have remembered the very noisy air conditioners outside the Heritage Room windows. Booked again (a Heritage Room) for another visit, and a friend laughed at me for forgetting I hated it last time! I think there are new owners, and the lower window pane is now frosted so you can’t see the view, but the noise of course still there. It did make me realise a room without any view is grim. Absolutely nothing else to fault in the room - but suggest you pay more for a decent view or book elsewhere. The restaurant was beyond dreadful. Initially booked a table of 4, then changed to 6. Had to be 5.45 - 7.30pm or nothing. That was fine. The waitress was lovely (Jackie, Jacqui?) We ordered a bowl of chips for the child in the group and waited over an hour. Mentioned to the man who looked to be in charge and he said I couldn’t be right. He then checked and agreed I was, but they still took a very long time to arrive. As none of the other meals had even arrived by 7.30 they wavered our time limit!! My husband and I had pasta with crab, at $48 each!!! Not much crab and the wide flat pasta very hard. None of the main meals were anything special. The man in charge was very nice, and took off all charges except the cost of mains. I think they might be short on staff like most places. Also, check your bill. Even though we didn’t pay for drinks, we did notice a $75 bottle of Chardonnay there that we didn’t have (and don’t drink)

Sous des airs d'ancienne bâtisse se cachent les chambres modernes et propres de l'hôtel Sorrento qui est moderne et finalement sans véritable charme. Bien situé à proximité de la rue principale de Sorrento et en surplomb du Ferry qui permet la traversée de l'autre côté de la baie. J'y ai séjourné une nuit à l'occasion d'un déplacement pro. Accueil pro et rapide, mesures de protection Covid respectés. Quelques petites vues sur la baie mais si vous en voulez plus, choisissez les chambres les plus hautes du bâtiment ce qui vous évitera également d'être trop proche du bar et du restaurant assez bruyants en soirée. Chambre moderne avec un petit coin salon et un balcon qui donnait sur le chantier en cours de la piscine..., Salle de bain douche-wc moderne mais peu éclairée dans ma chambre qui était au rez-de-chaussée. Panier de petit déjeuner dans le frigo du mini bar

The service at Hotel Sorrento for a dining experience was the best on the Peninsula. We ate all over, Portsea, the Conti etc and this by far exceeded the other 'pub' experiences in terms of service. Third time we've been and exceeded expectations every time.

The restaurant was amazing. We ate dinner there on our last evening and what an experience. From the minute we were greeted by our host until we settled the bill we had a ball. The menu allowed for a variety of options and our waitperson, Tara , was a wonderful addition with her knowledge of the menu and wine list. We are definitely eating there when we are next in the region. Do yourself a favour and try it for yourself
