My wife and I deeply enjoyed our stay at the Oliver Inn. The decor of the house was very authentic and Tom and Alice did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable! They had a butler's kitchen stalked with Tea, Coffee, and homeade cookies that was open all night. Nothing like warm tea and a working gas fireplace to make you feel comfortable! Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The elegant breakfasts (lace tablecloth, candlelight, lovely food presentation) and the entire atmosphere (fireplace in our room, claw-foot bathtub!) made for a wonderfully relaxing weekend. When Alice realized it was our anniversary she made us our own heart-shaped German pancake for breakfast. Tom & Alice were welcoming, attentive and helpful with suggestions of local attractions. If you enjoy the Victorian era, you will enjoy this bed & breakfast.

Highly recommend! Our second visit and not our last. Tom and Alice are the perfect hosts. The Inn is spotless, comfortable, quiet, and provides so many amenities. Alice's breakfasts are delicious and filling! You will miss out if you don't book here!

Fabulous historic building with modern fixtures. Alice was a great host. Breakfast was superb. We had full use of the facility including the refrigerator and freezer in "the butler's pantry" which was important as we were travelling with perishable food gifts. The restaurant next door is also very nice.

Great place when visiting Notre Dame…friendly hosts and guests, clean, good food. Would recommend the Tippecanoe next door for dinner. You get a discount if added to B and B bill. It’s very close to Notre Dame which is also worth visiting. Breakfast was a quiche, fruit and a homemade coffee cake. Wonderful chocolate chip cookies welcomed us the day we arrived.

I have stayed here before and it's always a pleasure! The ensuite room was comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfasts were tasty and Alice took into account my distaste for eggs and bacon. We enjoyed an evening on the porch and in one of the parlor rooms playing Trivial Pursuit. Alice's suggestion of visiting the Oliver Mansion and the Studebaker Museum kept us busy for an outing. We love the grounds around the house too! A great place to stay if you're visiting the area.

Tom and Alice are wonderful hosts. They treated us like royalty, yet like one of the family. The house is an historic experience. The rooms are spacious. The breakfasts are amazing. They are very helpful in planning your day. We will be back. Brian and Carla

We have just completed our 15th annual stay at the Oliver Inn and, remarkably, it gets better every year! Alice and Tom never stop working to create a more luxurious, comfortable, welcoming experience for all of their guests. All of the five-star reviews are totally deserved. Decor, atmosphere, service, meals (and fresh chocolate chip cookies) are wonderful. On your next visit, be sure to take time to appreciate the Neto Lou’s restoration of the Victorian exterior. Beautiful home, well maintained, serene setting on manicured grounds. We were here at the Oliver Inn 15 years ago and the same owners greeted us! They are situated within a few blocks of downtown, but you would never know it. The breakfast was great and they handled my wife’s gluten sensitivity!

A beautiful inn, and such nice people. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable, quiet even facing the street. Such a nice yard with chairs and a swing. Breakfast was fresh-baked items, sausage and fresh fruit (!). There was a refrigerator available and snacks, fresh cookies and fruit squares. We were there only one night but of 10 places we slept on our 2 week adventure, this was the best.

We had a delightful time staying at the Oliver Inn, 630 W.Washington St, South Bend Indiana. Great place to stay if you are visiting the university or just there for vacation. Excellent and varied breakfast home made every morning. Very attentive and helpful owners. I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast and would stay there again. My husband left some items and the host and hostess graciously mailed them back to us. Beth & Keith

My wife and I (and our puppy) had a lovely time at the Oliver Inn. The hosts, Alice and Tom, are welcoming, competent, and very caring. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is exquisite. Tom and Alice have created a luxurious, comfortable environment and provide service that goes beyond the extra mile. The Oliver Inn has become our second home when we travel to South Bend to visit our son's family. Enjoy!

Alice and Tom always do a great job, the room was spectacular and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed for three nights and everything was great.

As always, it was a great stay. The room was excellent, as was the breakfast. It was our third time staying there as part of a much longer road trip. Certainly a much better option than a chain hotel.
