The hotel is well located and beautifully renovated, and the spa center is large, with a lot of options for therapies and care treatments. From mud wraps extracted from Bear Lake, to saltwater pools, hydromassage, 3 types of saunas, jacuzzi, massage, physiotherapy, inhalations, beauty services and above all a kind and prepared staff.

I was extremely happy with the cosmetic treatments performed by Timeea. It was an expected treat, which pleasantly surprised me. The warm oil massage by Margareta also brought me relaxation. Thank you very much! These are new reasons to return to Ensana Sovata. :)

Great location! The food was very yummy, the spa and rooms very clean. It was a lovely experience overall. The staff was welcoming. I would also like to mention that I apreciate the fact that they accept pets, small breed dogs to be precise! Congratulations Hotel Sovata and keep up the good work!

The hotel is nice and clean, the personnel is very polite and helpful, the food is delicious but gods forbid, the SPA is not a source or relaxation but one of stress. The SPA is overcrowded and very, very loud. People have no clue how to behave in a spa. They are loud, they go to the sauna without towels, they jump in the pools, and even though there are signs encouraging quietness in the salt water pools, they are ignored. Plus, people from 3 hotels come to the same spa, maybe this should be restricted to just the guests of the Sovata hotel. For the love of god, hotel managers, please do something!!! Obviously, the current approach isn't working. Find a system that works - inform people of the decent behaviors in a SPA, put bigger messages in the spa, or some screens with big text / video about behaving in a spa. Create some rules, enforce them somehow, DO SOMETHING! If others managed to create a nice, relaxinf spa, so can you!! I came to this hotel to relax but it was a terrible experience, getting angry each time I went to the SPA because of the lack of common sense of the other hotel guests.

Second of all we would like to apologize for your inconvenience regarding the spa center. Probably you were in a busier period, maybe during the vacation period, but of course this is not an excuse: the spa area should be relaxing all the time. Because of our guest's feedback we multiplied all the signs about quietness and SPA rules and we put them everywhere. Also our staff from the pool area has the attribute to warn guests to follow the rules, but unfortunately we can't control every guest's behavior. I also want to inform you that only guests from Hotel Sovata and Hotel Bradet have acces to this Spa center. Hotel Ursina has his own spa with 2 pools and sauna area, guests from Ursina have acces to the spa center of Sovata hotel only in extreme cases ( for ex. technical problems). We also wanted to ensure our guests with some quiet time, that's why we introduce 2 periods ( 07:00-09:00 and 20:00-21:00) when children are not allowed in the spa area, these intervals are for those clients who want quiet and relaxin time. We spent one night here as part of a touring holiday in Romania. We enjoyed using the spa facilities at the hotel and the bedroom was comfortable. There was major renovation work going on in the reception area, so it had the feel of a building site to some extent. Breakfast was ok - nothing special, but perfectly adequate. By comparison with many other places in Romania it was quite expensive, but I guess that’s a product of the popularity of the town as a destination.

This was a spa hotel and overall it was a great experience. There was some left to be desired. Pros: nice mineral springs, saunas, pools. nice spa mud treatments. diverse and fresh breakfast, beautiful views of the lake. Cons: some members or the party had issues with a/c in their room, some flooding in the bathroom. they turned off the coffee machines 30 minutes before breakfast ended. we booked a double matrimonial bed but ended with 2 twins on wheels that fell apart. the room keys had to be fixed as they did not work the first time. overall, the experience was good. but, they did not care in the slightest when we were inconvenienced.

Stayed here several times before but now can only give 3 stars. Room and food acceptable although still lots lacking in room. No complementary water as usually expected or tissue box.Little things but what is expected in a good hotel. The room was not cleaned up to standard in morning just a quick bed making. Main thing is this is a spa hotel and the spa is now like a public lido. Children with rubber rings in jacuzzi, children playing ball games in adults pool and diving. Not enough seats to accommodate hotel guests and jacuzzi only working for twenty minutes per hour. Always have a massage when staying and this year masseur was sniffing all the way through session. Not really good enough for a spa hotel.Unfortunately will have to look elsewhere for next visit to Sovata as there are new hotels being build.

Children have possibility to use all the pools and facilities ( on both levels) exept on the " silence hours": in the interval of 07:00-09:00 and 20:00-21:00 children are not allowed in the spa centre , these hours are dedicated to guests who need quiet and relaxation. It is a very nice hotel, recently renovated. It was my second time here, after my first visit in August 2022. The breakfast is diversified and of good quality, the SPA and medical services are worth their money.
