In the old town next to silver gate and close to everything. Good and very friendly service, clean room with personality, a lot of stairs and no lift, breakfast set served in a cafe nearby. Very good in the category of "room for rent." Special mentions: good hair dryer and excellent cleaning!

We stayed in an ocean view room and it was great to be able to have a glass of wine on the balcony. There is no lift so be prepared to carry your bags. (Many European hotels do not have lifts.) We arrived by shuttle bus from the airport and left by ferry. The room is walking distance to the bus station and port and many of the sites. We definitely would stay here again.

I had a very comfortable stay at La Porta for 4 nights. The room was very nice, clean, modern, well-decorated, and quiet. Toni and his wife were really friendly and helpful. I arrived early and was able to store my bags. Toni arranged an airport transfer for my early morning flight. The hotel is located just across from one of the palace gates, so it is an excellent location. It is located very close (2 min) to a green market, and bakery, and is also close to the bus station (10 min) and port (5 min). Breakfast was included at the historic Lvxor Café & Restaurant, which was located a few steps away inside the palace walls. There is free wifi, a small fridge, and air conditioning. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Ideally sited. Close to everything. 5 mins walk to the port and bus station (if that) and right next to the old walled town. Room was clean, well decorated and had everything we needed included our own balcony with view over the port. Toni was awesome. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us some great tips for local restaurants. Overall, great value for money and certainly far better than I expected.
