Sanja and the rest of her team were terrific! The room we stayed in so was clean and it was perfect to spend our last few days while in our honeymoon in Split. They were very communicative and helpful during the booking and arriving process. The building is in a perfect location as it's close to Old Town where it's only a couple minute walk and isn't too loud at night. We would recommend Lanterna for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Split.

This small boutique hotel just keeps giving. With just five rooms, all of great quality you receive the personal attention you would never get in a larger hotel. The hotel is located in a pedestrian area very close to the town center. Upon arrival in a taxi from Split airport that the hotel arranged for us, the hotel owner was waiting to meet us and walk us with our luggage to the hotel. We were shown straight to our room which was just what we hoped it would be. All recently decorated with a wonderful en-suite with shower. The hotel does not provide any catering, but within 50 feet of the entrance there is a huge selection of restaurants and bars. Don’t worry about noise at the hotel, it is in its own grounds which you enter through a locked gate which you have a key to. We took advantage of sitting under the gazebo in the garden before venturing into the town each evening. The room had a fridge and electric kettle and with two supermarkets close by, we immediately set up our coffee making facilities and cold drinks in the room. It also had a safe and great air conditioning. As can sometimes happen when you are traveling, you can find yourself not feeling well which happened to me. My wife spoke to the hotel manager and within an hour after we arrived, the manager walked us to a nearby medical facility, found a doctor who spoke English and could see me right way. Amazing support which saved our vacation. The location of the hotel was fantastic, a short walk to the sea front, town square, the old town, cathedral and theatre. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel and it will our first point of call the next time we visit Split.

The Lanterna offers a peaceful retreat in the center of Split after a busy day of sightseeing. Centrally located, yet off the beaten path down one of Splits many narrow lanes. It is close to restaurants, shops and a small grocery store which we found handy. Once you enter the gated courtyard entrance you enter an oasis away from Split’s hustle and bustle. The walled courtyard is a great place to relax. The room was well appointed, clean, quiet and furnishings up to date. The gem of our stay at the Lanterna was our host Sonya. She was so attentive to our needs. Recommended a great nearby restaurant, helped with directions, kept us supplied with ice for our evening G&T and even walked us to our taxi upon departing. I knew we had made a friend as we said goodbye. Would love to return!

This is a delightful place to stay right in the centre of the beautiful city of Split. Our room was stylish, comfortable and clean. The owners are kind and helpful and gave the best guidance on places to visit in the city. We particularly enjoyed sitting in their gorgeous private patio having a glass of wine in the evening. This is a really great place to stay and we would highly recommend it!

like the location close to everything but also far enough from all the noise The bed was not made correctly none of the nights. Not covers first night. We were cold.second night they providedcovers but took away the sheet amd they gabe us just 2 individual covers for a queen bed. Stay 4 days. One of them didn't really clean up. Left dirty cups, trash cans full and no enough towels. Another night we got to roomat 8pm to refresh after a long day and they were making the room. They left and left everything dirty because theu didn't have time. This is first time that this happens to me when paying that much for a room and very surprised after seeing all good reviews. What a lovely hidden gem in the middle of busy Split. It really is a quiet oasis in a sea of British boys in various states of intoxication. The rooms were clean and nice, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel is located in the perfect spot for exploring the old town by foot. Will definitely come back someday!

Lanterna Rooms was a wonderful place to stay in Split. The rooms are among the nicest of any during our two week trip in Croatia; they are nicely appointed (the bathroom was particularly nice) and in excellent condition. The location is great - within a very comfortable walking distance to the harbor/walking promenade and the old palace. Many eating choices close by and drop-off laundry also close. Sanja is a wonderful host - very friendly, helpful and responsive. Highly recommended for your visit to Split.

My family of 4 rented the quad room & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location within the pedestrian zone of old-town Split. Many restaurants & shops nearby. Very clean, well-maintained, & quiet. Sanja was an excellent host. Highly recommend!!

We stayed twice at the Lanterna Rooms. Both rooms we had were excellent. It is an oasis of calm in the busy city and Sanja was welcoming and helpful. The location is excellent. An easy 5 min walk to the sea and palace.Being slightly out of the centre local bars and restaurants are more reasonably priced.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Lanterna Rooms. The location was perfect for exploring Split and the welcome and service we received from the owners was exemplary. They were helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit. The room was serviced every day and was spotless.

My first time in Split and I got lost in the little square around it. I called and the young woman found me and walked with me to the hotel. I mean wow! I knew right then I picked the right place. Once I figured out my way it was very convenient to everything. Like a 5 min walk to Riva. I can’t begin to express how kind and helpful the 2 women were at this hotel. Room was beautiful, clean and quiet. 2 markets close by that I could get snacks and drinks for the fridge. They set me up with their driver since I had an early flight and it was a few $$ cheaper than the taxis. If I’m in Split again, I will definitely stay here.

We stayed in a family room (me, my wife and two children - 11 and 14). Our room was comfortable with nice bathroom with good shower. The beds were comfortable. The location was great in that we were minutes away from the old town, lots of nice restaurants, and the harbour, etc. Staff were so wonderful and helpful too. Would come back here without hesitation

We stayed at Lanterna Rooms when we visited Split this August. Though Split is an absolute crowded, noisy, madhouse at this time, Lanterna was a wonderful oasis of calm and a great refuge from the drinking, partying kids that infested the city. The location is perfect right near the heart of the UNSECO World Heritage Site that is old town Split. It was an easy walk to the ferry and bus stations, museums, restaurants galore, and beaches and parks nearby. The rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortable, and the owner, Sanja, keeps the place spotlessly clean. The staff is very friendly and provided us with summaries of many attractions to visit. I cannot recommend Lanterna highly enough.

Lovely accommodation, very comfortable clean rooms, great shower. Great location. Sanja was wonderful provided nice local restaurant recommendations and assisted planning sightseeing. Nice outdoor area.
