Lovely place to stay, cosy and modern bedroom with spacious bathroom. The only thing was we came at probably the hottest day reaching around 28 degrees and they had a fan but no air conditioning. Which made it difficult to sleep. If there was aircon I would have given it full marks. Breakfast served was continental and with quality ingredients. We had dinner here it was delicious and the restaurant was lovely and picturesque. Service was impeccable and staff very friendly - I would come back again if in the area.

Well organised, fairly priced, friendly and with an excellent restaurant, this hotel has plenty to recommend it. The menu has a nice balance between cordon bleu and standard pub fare. Gee and James provide attentive but not intrusive service, Patrick, Ben and Sarah understand their roles and provide everything you need with a smile. I do perhaps 100 hotel nights a year and this one is a stand out for service, options and quality

On arrival I had a friendly welcome, showed me to my room which I had too report that the sheet on the bed were dirty, with this she transferred me to another room where I found the pillow cases were dirty, I think she was a little embarrassed and changed the pillows her self. I felt the food was small portions for the price and also over priced for the room with no breakfast inc. The staff are very friendly.

We spent one night in The Castle in on our way home from Scotland. The property is in a lovely little village & we were made welome as soon as we arrived. Staff were very helpful & friendly. The property was very clean & room comfortable. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal in the restaurant.

Lovely hotel - what a find! Booked a place last minute and was surprised by an amazing room, excellent food served in the restaurant downstairs and lovely surroundings. Would definitely go again

The bedrooms were themed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant and bar were also nicely decorated and inviting and had a good chris**as vibe. The food was also good although a bit more choice would have been nice particularly for plain eaters.

My husband and I spent an o/n at the Castle Inn, the young man on Receptoon was very kind. We had a very welcome meal, after a waring day at a funeral, the waitrese was charming. Only one little thing the bathroom just needed a steam clean, or a lick of paint. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, refreshed for our journey North. Many Thanks.
