斯闊米什酒店(Hotel Squamish)

Very basic, no Airco, but only a fan. too hot in the room. We did not expect much, so it was acceptable.

This particular room had no hooks, hangers, closet, dresser or desk. Not even a nightstand. Window blinds were missing, just the top portion of the mechanism there, so there's just a privacy shade. Great room darking solution 🙄, no blinds for the bathroom window. Other rooms did have dressers, microwave, A/C unit, etc. Unless you just need a bed and bathroom, pass on room 208 at all costs. We plan on another trip to Squamish next year but will stay elsewhere.

The property is very dated and seriously needs an update: The tub enamel is partially peeled off with permanent stains near the faucet, the shower curtain rod is rusty, the window shade is broken on one side, the bed is squeaky, the microwave is so weak it cannot pop even half of the kernels in a small popcorn bag… On the second night, we left a glass of sparkling wine on the dresser, to slowly enjoy it. About 15-20 minutes later, there were an ant and what looked like a baby cockroach fallen in the cup! We have not seen other bugs besides these two in the room. Luckily, the positive note is that the staff (the man from the Eldorado liquor store) was very nice and helped bring my carry-on luggage to the first floor (re: no elevator). This place was more affordable than other accommodations in this area, but was not cheap. Unfortunately, we won’t come back.

Hotel seems decent in the pictures, but as we check in, we could barely hear the desk attendant and they’re barely at the desk to begin with. Going in the room, there is no secondary lock (swing bar door lock), the fan doesn’t work, the heater can blow ambient air but is weak. The hotel stated there was a restaurant above the room so we expected noise, we just want to let you know, yes, there’s lots of noise past 11pm. The bed looked clean but my partner and I felt itchy. Overall, we aren’t satisfied but I guess that’s what we get for the price.

I did like that it was relatively clean. There was a buildup of hair in the bath tub drain though. Also, the cleaning lady did not give me any notice that she was opening the door. It was at about 10am and I had not checked out yet. The door opened and then it was just left slightly ajar. She should be given a list of who has or hasn't checked out yet or at least knock on the door if she is coming to clean. Thanks!

If all you care about is price (aka it being cheap) then this place is for you. The room was pretty janky, broken drywall, chip in tub, chips in bed headboard. We never saw anyone at lobby.. half the time front lobby door was propped open (not safe).

A very noicy room. The exhaust system made a terrible noice right outsider our Window. Closing the Windows helped but then we needed to turn on the aircondition, which made equally unpleasant noice.

Good thing it was for only 1 quick night, Rooms were old and dingy smelling. Could here people next to us turn the shower on. Room was very small, NO AC, had a plug in fan didn’t do much. For the price we paid it was $133 to much Would not recommend at all
