Residence Inn by Marriott St. Louis Downtown

They claimed I smoked in my room which as many times as I stayed there this one time I smoked in my room no I don’t think so and they kept my deposit. They where very rude , there was no dishes in either room I stayed in . The couches were nasty with stains. And at breakfast there is a guy who works in the kitchen who hovers over you while you’re making your breakfast telling you how much to get how do you know it’s just one person in a persons room could have kids he doesn’t know they shouldn’t allow him to do that!

The hotel is ok but I really begrudge having money taken out of my account by way of deposit. I was told this would happen when I got to reception so couldn’t really do anything about it. I was also told the deposit would be refunded within 3-5 working days but it hasn’t been returned over a week later. I’ve just traveled across the USA staying in 6 hotels and only two did this and neither returned the deposit in the timeframe they themselves gave. Travelling on a budget this had a detrimental effect on my holiday. I wouldn’t stay here again for this reason.

When we checked into our room, we found the trash had not been emptied, the carpet had not been vacuumed (lots of things on the floor including hair ties and food), kitchen counters sticky and bathroom tub dirty. When we went to desk because we could call front desk from room, they gave us a bottle of cleaner and a sponge

Check-in was ok, room key worked 1 time! Had to keep going to front desk to get them redone for 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. Bedroom door would not close, the bed was in the way! Did not offer housekeeping, we had to keep calling for towels to be replaced, even after requesting we had to call again because they didn’t do it. Breakfast was a joke, milk was outdated for all but the last day we stayed, they ran out of everything and didn’t seem to care. We ended up eating breakfast elsewhere because we got tired of having to ask for things and being told, “we are out!” Beds were very uncomfortable and the AC either froze us or didn’t work and it felt like a sauna in the room! Hot tub was not working, could only swim but couldn’t get in because our room keys wouldn’t work! The list goes on and on. Wanted to move to another hotel but was going to be charged for nights even if we did leave! Never again and do not recommend this hotel to anyone even if it were a last resort decision.

At check-in both of the young ladies seemed to not know what they were doing. I was charged a second time for my stay, although i had already paid online. Called the front desk and requested a down free pillow and they NEVER brought it up l, even after calling a second time to verify that they had some. The location of the hotel is misleading online, id suggest looking at it on maps before committing to staying there. Overall for the amount of money it costs, it is seriously not worth it.

Was charge twice 1 through ******* and one through hotel. Hotel staff didn’t want to refund. Going to contact customer service for this after my vacation.

The hotel is good but they never say the extra $100.00 fee’s and We have to pay for the parking too

Checked us into an occupied room. Expected two beds but got one plus a sofa bed. Had to go to the front desk to get the sheet and pillowcase. Not walkable no restaurants.

My toilet was backed up as soon as we checked in. There was no maintenance on staff so housekeeping kept coming to the room with a plunger.
