Stayed for New Years Eve, absolutely chilling night, even the pooch stayed chilled,great food, definitely recommend the steak and ale pie. Plenty of food choice included in your ticket. Log fire burning all night, countdown to midnight with a glass of champagne 😜 sing along karaoke too.. Lovely night, would definitely do it again. Pool and steam room a hit too A big Thankyou to Receptionist staff for accommodating us on the last minute, Thanks Again Paula and Franco Scotto Di Freca

Booked for NYE with my wife and kids, really enjoyed it Room was good, lots of space Nice fire and sofas but didn’t get chance to sit there as was too busy. Kids enjoyed the space outside We loved the buffet their was lots of good choices the korma was very tasty, the only bad thing was the entertainment the woman running the karaoke wasn’t good it had no atmosphere and was too low, but we still had a good time with the kids

The staff were soo lovely, the breakfast and dinner options impeccable. It was my first time at the Lakes and it was a solo birthday trip and the staff did a pack of chocolates for me as well. The woodland cabins with the hot tub was the best experience ever out of them all.

Great hotel,lovely setting, gardens and views. Rooms clean and beds comfy! The staff are extremely accommodating went above and beyond for us as we celebrated my mams birthday, especially Keely the manager and Alex on reception. Food was delicious to and the added bonus of the hottub, pool area offers a great space to relax. We are already booked in for our next visit! We are returning guests abd visit often, definitely worth a visit!

Excellent facilities (swimming pool), great location, good value for money, friendly staff, nice food, and good location close to Windemere Lake. The rooms were nice and comfortable. So far this has been the best hotel I've stayed at in the UK.

Room 4, extremely noisy at night as if boots continuously scuffing on adjacent bare wooden floor boards with occasional bangs so we could not sleep. Same again from 4 a.m. in the morning. Also on leaving my wife accidentally left her silver necklace behind. On getting home we rang about the necklace, the operative said they would get back to us, they never did. Twice I have emailed about the room and also the absence of a meal 5.30 p.m. ones complaint more advisory than anything else... hoping they would get back to us with an apology or at least something in the way of communication also them not finding the necklace. The management appeared less than interested, the whole experience perfunctory. Our meal across the road at their competitors fantastic even though extremely busy, a complete contrast to Newby Bridge Hotel. The total lack of customer service and my inability to locate who owns the hotel is worrying, there appears no listing anywhere. If you just want a bed for the night and are not bothered, I would say okay, chance your arm. If its service you want and a friendly experience, don't bother. As to them getting back to us, not a chance in hell.

Absolutely FANTASTIC from start to finish. Initially booked the weekend stay on a booking website. To only realise I had booked it under one guest instead of two. I contact the hotel and it was quickly sorted and the room was upgraded. The room was ready when we arrived on 10th, it was clean with a view over the gardens. We had a meal in the bar area on arrival and breakfast the following morning. All the food was really tasty. We had a to wait a few minutes in the morning for more breakfast items to be put out but this was to be expected as the hotel was full and with the breakfast being of a buffet style some people like to take more than they can eat. Overall the experience was excellent and we would definitely look to come back in the future, but next time book directly with the hotel instead of a third party company ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel overall is a bit dated but clean, the grounds were really well maintained and scenic,staff didn't go overboard with smiles though efficient. Our breakfast experience on the second morning of our stay educated us to our place in the pecking order of society,a football team that was staying were allowed to have the entire "Dining Room" To themselves,we were directed to the dingy bar area were we had to cart our own breakfasts into from the dining area??I found it truly amazing that a manager could possibly think this is acceptable customer service,hence we won't be going back.

Absolute Heroes, apologies that it has taken so long to write this review. Myself and my young son were trapped in the heavy snowfall after the car broke down.. Staff couldn’t do more for us ..they managed to find us a room and were so welcoming. By the morning the hotel lobby was full of stranded motorists all kept warm and dry. Thanks again.. the hotel staff looked after many people that night ..

Although the hotel and rooms are dated, the Staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well equipped but I struggled with a hard mattress in my room! We ate in the hotel dining room the first night and were pleasantly surprised with the food so chose to eat there for our second night too. We enjoyed the sunny garden at the rear in the late afternoon after a day sightseeing.

Room was clean slight smell on arrival, wi fi not good very hard to get on to ,steam room out of action breakfast was just ok coffee kept running out and slow top up items on the plus side good toaster garden clean ad well kept good shower in room and good clean towels

Very poor service, and very poor value for money. Grey scrambled egg ( over cooked ) Staff that do not know how to greet guests for breakfast, just we are not ready, instead of good morning, with a smile. Could not get WiFi, reception said not possible for my room

Hotel staff were so lovely, nothing was too Much trouble, bar staff were really friendly as were all other staff we encountered. Reception staff really knowledgeable about the local area regarding fishing and shooting which my partner appreciated. We dined in the bar both nights and have to say the food we had was outstanding as were the breakfast offerings each morning. Our room was nice with views to the front and to the side. Really couldn’t fault our stay. One small downside was the frothing in the hot tub and clump of hair on top of the soap dispenser in the shower at the pool and this was at 8:30am so we only went in once during our stay which was disappointing as it put us off using it. Apart from this minor issue we had a very nice stay.
