基林酒店(Killin Hotel)

The hotel is a little tired and would benefit from a refurb. The problems i had with my room was the heating and the hot water or lack of it. The heating went off sometime in the night which i can live with if it isn't -5 outside. There was no hot water in the evening or in the morning. I couldn't shower and had to boil the kettle to have a warm wash in the morning. My work colleague had an electric shower in his room some he had no problem. It might just have been my room but i was left disappointed after paying £70.

Despite the best efforts of friendly staff, this hotel is in a bad state and in need of major refurbishment. It’s also got noise issues (I was disturbed every night and morning), maintenance issues - bathroom in disrepair, uncomfortable bed - and some quite intimidating clientele. And food was average to poor mass-catering style - really disappointing.

Hotelli voisi olla jotain tosi upeaa, mutta ikävä kyllä tällä hetkellä se jää kauaksi siitä. Siistiä oli kyllä, ruoka ihan hyvää ja ravintolahenkilökunnan palvelu oikein ystävällistä, mutta muuten hotelli ikävän nuhjuinen. Meidät oli majoitettu sivurakennukseen ja ikkunasta aika nolot näkymät. Liitteenä kuva. Toivomme tälle hotellille ehdottomasti tämän hetkistä tilaa parempaa tulevaisuutta, niin hienosta rakennuksesta kyse ja viehättävästä kylästä.

Rooms are very run down, also bed was very uncomfortable, not the cleanest of rooms either .. food was good but a bit pricey..

Een goed hotelletje voor een nacht. De ligging is perfect net aan het Loch Tay. De kamers zijn wat ouderwets maar het is voldoende als je hier enkel de nacht doorbrengt.

Hotel mit Charme

Staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent especially the breakfasts. However there were some heating and hot water issues. My son and his partner only had hot water on 1 night of our 2 night stay. The heating in our room did not seem to be working which was not a problem on the first night as we were warm enough but the second night was colder and there was only a summer quilt on the bed. Also the TV could not receive a signal, we tried re-tuning several times but there was an aerial/signal problem. The issues were reported to reception on check out.

Fantastic location by river with lovely views, friendly staff, good food, and good value

I had a nice stay in a room with a four-poster bed (the option without bath.) The room was spacious and pleasant. The staff person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I got a little chilly through the night (December stay) but warmed up under the covers with pyjamas. Sleep was a little disturbed by what sounded like the dripping of rain or water, part way through the night, but with earplugs pre-prepared I fell back asleep fine. Four-poster bed was a little creaky when moving. I didn’t mention this to staff because I didn’t want to be a bother (so that’s on me.) It was a nice stay overall.
