I’ve stayed at Premier Inn’s before, mainly due to knowing what to expect. This was no exception except for a very noisy floor above us which stopped our kids going to sleep which was a shame. Otherwise no issues

We stayed at the hotel for my sons graduation with my elderly parents. The lady who checked us in was fabulous, she offered my mum & dad a ground floor room with a lower bed, walk in shower & handles around the toilet. My dad has to walk with a stick but I hadn't really considered booking an accessible room for them so it was very thoughtful of her to consider it. The hotel was clean & well cared for. There was always staff around to help if you needed anything. We ate in the attached Brewers Fayre. Although the food was fairly basic, the staff were lovely & we were well looked after even though they were really busy. Overall a great experience & would have no hesitation in staying again.

I had considered going to a hotel closer to Alton Towers, but felt I would be doomed to lumpy beds and questionable food. Thankfully I chose Premier Inn, which offer amazing beds and filling breakfasts. Disaster struck the night before my visit to Alton Towers - the showers and sinks ran out of water. I reported the issue to reception, and they informed me it would be taken care of in 30 minutes. It was, and all credit to them, as it was the weekend, and many families were also preparing to go to Alton Towers. They take a lot of grief, and I want to say thank you to them for acting so quickly concerning this unexpected emergency. Special thanks to Bridie, Jogi and Sharon.

Lovely stay, Hadleigh on the front desk was super helpful and friendly on check in! Made everything very easy and straight forward for our trip. Room is comfortable and easy to get to. Clean and tidy, everything we need for a quick stay in stoke on Trent

A bit bizarre. Apart from the bed and desk, the room was empty, as if it had been burgled (see photo). There was also a 2-inch gap between the bottom of the bathroom door and the floor. The room had a musty smell, but the air conditioning did work (minimum of 19C, no colder). Otherwise, standard plain Premier Inn: a bathroom that did not provide toilet rolls, only a 'single sheet dispenser’, and no soap bars, just bodywash liquids. I personally find these cost-saving measures obnoxious, and deduct a point from the hotel’s ranking, but other travelers may not mind. Sink provided only a sprinkle of water. Hotel is near a Costa and a Burger King, to name two places to eat. Pretty soulless place to stay.

Air con was not working. Found out on departure they knew about this but we were not told when we arrived. We asked for a fan but was given one which didn’t work. Windows don’t open in the family rooms so room was hot and musty smelling. Did not have a great sleep at all for the 2 nights we were there. Hotel was fully booked so no option of a room change. Sister stayed in the annex and had no issues. Appears to only be affecting the main building. Staff referred me to guest relations online but have heard nothing back so far. I would be reluctant to stay at this hotel again

Left us with a newborn in a room so hot it was unsafe. Temperatures reached nearly 30 degrees inside room overnight with no opening windows or air con. No one slept. Turns out it was an ongoing issue that they knew about in advance but failed to mention

The smell in the hallway to our room was horrendous. There was food left outside our neighbours door for the 2 days we where there. We where on the ground floor and the Aircon wasn't working. Being on the ground floor the windows weren't functioning. In the heat we where having reaching 27 degrees this was unbearable. We where in a room with our 2 children. One 3 years old and one 9 months. Understandably we where very worried of them overheating. I explained the broken Aircon to reception and asked for a fan. Luckily a member of the team found us one. Not that it made any difference in the room. We ended up having to go out and purchase a further fan to ease the discomfort slightly. Not a very pleasant stay at all!
