米納爾塔酒店(Al-Minar Hotel)

This is an absolutely horrible hotel in every aspect. Avoid it at all costs! It's overpriced and deserves maximum 1 or 2 stars. The rooms are so moldy, I could hardly breathe and sleep at night! It felt like I would breathe in all those mold spores. Also, be prepared to be woken up at 5am by a nearby mosque. Additionally to the horrible old rooms, the hotel management seems to like to rip off their clients: As I had some stomach problems, I kindly asked for some porridge for breakfast instead of the fatty, sweet and unhealthy breakfast they offer. They asked me to pay 10 USD (!) for that porridge, which is unbelievable because it's like the cheapest breakfast you could have! What a scam! Furthermore, the Nepali guy at the reception is very disrespectful and has no manners! He should not work in tourism. This is a hotel for backpacker and not worth more than 10 or 20 USD a night. I really don't understand the good reviews. Avoid it!

Ubicación perfecta, y desayuno muy rico y agradable en la azotea.

Good location in quiet area, less than 5 min walk to ATM, shops and Freddie Mercury Museum. Very friendly staff, nice room with AC, hot water and good Wi-Fi. Everything in good condition. Very good cleaning and house keeping. The rooftop restaurant offers good breakfast (included), snacks, lunch and dinner. This was our second stay here (one night); we had the same experience in January 2023 (five nights).

L'hôtel est très bien situé, le personnel est très gentil par contre nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise en arrivant de n'avoir qu'un seul lit adulte alors que nous avons réservé pour 3 personnes (2 adultes+1enfant). La dame me dit que j'aurais dû le préciser par mail que je voulais un lit extra alors que mon fils a 7 ans. Cela lui semblait limite bizarre que nous en fassions la demande. Finalement le manager nous a "accordé" un matelas supplémentaire que nous avons mis sur le côté alors que la chambre était déjà bien petite... jamais vu ça. De plus, l'hôtel nous a fait payer des taxes supplémentaires de 4$ par nuit et par personne... j'ai trouvé cela culotté...

Très bon hôtel. Idéalement placé pour découvrir la ville, Al Minar hôtel propose des chambres très propres et spacieuses à un prix très intéressant. Une jolie décoration était prévue à l’occasion de notre anniversaire de mariage. Le personnel est très attentif et serviable. Nous avons pu demander à ce que le petit déjeuner soit servi plus tôt car nous avions une excursion à l’aube. Le petit déjeuner était excellent : jus de fruit, toasts, crêpes, fruits frais. Tout était très bon. Je recommande cet hôtel fortement !

We enjoying all services from Al minar, receptinist,, housekeeping humble manager.. nice& delicious breakfast from A charming chief😀……. I big room, hot shower,all in all it’s in stonetown you can get any service nearby.. ❤️

Ok hotel for a one night stop, max 2 nights. Great location for StownTown tour, also close to the airport by taxi 10$/20minutes. Did not catch the names - as a welcome the Receptionist was super friendly, but later during our stay, his colleagues - not so much, just the opposite. We hade an early flight, so we missed the breakfast on the last day, we asked if we could use the missed breakfast as a dinner on the last day with the surcharge- but they did not approve our request. So we paid the full amount for the dinner. Especially thanks to Restaurant staff and the chef, they were so nice, helpful and the food was super teasty.
