Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in der Chapel of Barras Farm wirklich genossen. Michelle und David waren sehr gastfreundlich. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und die Lage abseits von Hauptstraßen oder Dörfern sorgt dafür, dass Sie sich nach einem anstrengenden Tag voller Besichtigungen gut ausruhen können. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist reichlich und sorgt dafür, dass Sie genug Energie für den Tag haben. Wir haben sogar nach dem Rezept für die Pfannkuchen gefragt. Aber das ist nicht alles, was das Essen betrifft - jeden Nachmittag, wenn wir zurückkamen, stand eine Art süßer Snack für uns bereit, den wir bei Kaffee/Tee genießen konnten. Diese Snacks reichten von Kekskuchen, Keksen, Shortbread und auch Lebkuchen - für die wir uns auch das Rezept besorgten.

What a lovely place to stay - we came with our friends for a couple of nights and we couldn’t have been made more welcome. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and clean. Both Michelle and David were excellent hosts serving a delicious breakfast that set us up for the day. Only a short drive from Stonehaven where there are lovely places to have an evening meal. Visited Dunnottar castle and the rspb site nearby. We all hope to return one day.

What a wonderful place to stay this is. Michelle made us feel so very welcome and also David was very helpful and realy interested in us. We had a very large room , very nice as we stayed for 4 night. The things you want from a b and b are all there: clean, good bed, nice shower. But here there was much more than this. Every day there was a treat ready for you in your room( made us feel so very welcome), there are nice chairs to sit in ( I always appreciate that because you don’t have to sit on your bed. And the breakfast, don’t get me started . It is like a 5 star restaurant, every morning Michelle asks what you want and all of it is delicious.And also David is there in the morning to help you pick out where to go and knows a lot about the surroundings. So if i had to recommend a b and b around there i would absolutely say go to Chapel of Barras.

Another great return visit to the farm. Had 3 nights this time and Michelle and David make you feel at home in their lovely B & B. We will return when possible and look forward to enjoying the lovely breakfast, the pancakes are so yummy. Sherril & John Helensburgh

Absolutely perfect two night stay. Our hosts, Michelle and David, were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was immaculate, spacious and spotless and we were treated to home made cakes each day as well as fresh milk for our tea and coffee. The full Scottish breakfast was spectacular and we slept like a log both nights. Can’t speak highly enough of this bed and breakfast and would recommend without hesitation.

Absolutely perfect bed and breakfast , Dave and Michelle couldnt have been more welcoming , fabulous room ,spotlessly clean ,homemade shortbread with drinks in room ,the view of the fields from the room was so nice, beautiful and peaceful , breakfast was amazing all local quality produce or else homemade by Michelle , would highly recommend for anybody ,my first time ,i will definitly be back again , thank you for everything

I can’t recommend the Chapel At Barras B&B enough! Everything about our stay was exceptional from the friendly welcome, the pristine and spacious rooms to the fantastic home-cooked and (really) locally sourced breakfasts. Home cooking and baking was sooooo good! Everything was done with care and with obvious pride in providing a top quality experience. We were discussing this the other night and agreed that it was by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. I really can’t thank our hosts x and y enough for the friendly welcome and we enjoyed every minute.

My colleague and I stayed while working the Midsummer Beer Happening festival in Stonehaven. It was a little oasis in the middle of a very busy week. Lovely folk running it, clean spacious rooms, freshly cooked breakfast each morning. We couldn't have asked for more - but then they brought cake to our rooms each day, which was a delight!

Chapel of Barras Farm is one of the best b&bs we have stayed in. Michelle gave us such a friendly welcome, the room was spacious, light and airy with a huge bathroom and very comfy bed. David and Michelle have thought of every comfort including excellent toiletries, power shower, welcome tray and homemade tray bake. Breakfast was excellent including home cured bacon, homemade bread and jams and local eggs and sausages. David gave us some good tips including visiting the nearby Dunnottar Castle which we loved. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs to choose from in nearby Stonehaven. We liked the Tolbooth Seafood Restaurant and Ship Inn and had we stayed longer would have liked to have tried the Creel Inn, Catterline and the seafood shack on the harbour front at Stonehaven. Anyone visiting will love this place!

I stayed for one night. The room was very clean and comfortabe, the breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very welcoming. I would not hesitate to go back. The B & B is a working farm which makes the experience all the more interesting. The farm is off the main road but the hosts gave good directions.MM

Me and my husband spent one night in this lovely farm and B&B. Our hosts Michelle and David were absolutely friendly and offered a delicious home made breakfast, a comfortable, elegant and super clean room and the experience to stay in an “authentic” place. We recommend this place for your tour in the highlands to visit Stonehaven and the amazing Dunnottar castle .
