We enjoy staying at America's Best value for the location and great rates. The rooms are a little bit outdated but we stay because it's quiet and minutes from the Barn island boat launch. There are numerous restaurants and fast food also just minutes away. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant. There are no amenities, such as ice or food on the premises, but we had a fridge and microwave. Soft beds, Air conditioner, makes it very comfortable. We will be returning soon!

This was supposed to be reimbursed. We did not stay here, they couldn’t accommodate us.

Staff member was very accommodating and made sure our room had what it needed. He even switched out our room for us as we required a mini fridge for our stay.

The hot water didn't get hot enough for bathing. The locks on the doors was weak, not firmly closing doors. Nothing immediately near property.

Simple but adequate room and amenities. Old property and structure, newly renovated. No style but clean, new and functional. Beds a little sway backed but not horrible. We’ll priced on ******* for our night. No breakfast although it looked like there was a Kurig machine in the small office area.

The actual manager should be on the premises for check in and not leave it to someone who cannot speak English to answer questions

Very small. Clean. But alot of repairs needed. Worth the low price. Needed a place to sleep not to hang out. No ice maker but they were nice and gave us thier own ice tray.

America's Best Value Inn in Stonington, CT, is not the worst but it could be better. The room was clean, except under the bed which was very deep in dust. The design of the bed made it difficult to vacuum under the bed, but not impossible. If you have a dust intolerance, look elsewhere. The room lacked adequate electrical outlets, especially by the desk. And the outlet over the sink was blocked by the faucet - very poor attention to design details. The bathroom exhaust fan was terribly noisy, as was the HVAC unit on the wall. The HVAC unit said it was controlled by a wall thermostat but there was no thermostat on the wall. However, other than under the bed, the room was clean and appeared to be newly painted. The TV channel guide in the room was grossly inaccurate. Further, the antenna/cable connection to the TV was loose which caused a problem I had originally attributed to the weather and the entire cable system, but it was just the connection on the back of the TV. The shower water was nowhere near hot enough. My overall impression was of an older economy motel that was in the process of being refurbished but the effort was hampered by both the original architecture and a lack of attention to detail in the renewal. If you are looking for a place to sleep, to shower and to save your money for more important things, this place is OK. If you are looking for someplace with more amenities (e.g., pool, exercise facility, restaurant, bar, etc.), look elsewhere.

No cable…Luke warm shower…asked for first floor. Got second. Not even a coffee pot. Owners were nice. Wound not go again.
