What a lovely 1 night stay I had. Bill is a great host providing spotlessly clean rooms, great hospitality, perfect in room facilities, great choice of locally sourced breakfast, good location 15 mins stroll from the town and an all round very good value for money B&B. I will definitely be back.

What can I say, this is easily one of the best places we have ever stayed. From our arrival and being offered tea/coffee and home made cake we felt welcomed like old friends. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast was outstanding, we only wished we could have stayed another night to have sampled the smoked salmon and scrambled egg. It looked scrummy! We can't rate this guest house highly enough. {maybe this should be kept to ourselves} THANK YOU!!

A delightful B&B: very comfy bed, excellent large bathroom, yummy biscuits supplied, wonderful breakfast too. But what really makes it super special is Bill, the host. He was extremely helpful and considerate. Wish I could have stayed longer. PS: I even met some lovely fellow-stayers at breakfast (and I don't normlly 'do' early morning chat with strangers but they were lovely and interesting)!!

This is a small, 3 guest rooms, B&B, parking is available at the front of the property for 2 cars. The road is not too busy but the bus service into town is infrequent, ( & stops all together at 18.00) but that said it's only a 20 minute walk and is quite straightforward. Bill met us with a smile and showed is to our room, we had the twin on the ground floor. It's a good sized room with comfy beds, crisp white bed linen and pine furniture. There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe, a must for 2 ladies ! The bathroom is bright and airy with a bath and over bath shower, which was good and powerful, not the trickle you sometimes get. Bill was full of information on what do and see during our stay and supplied us with a map of the town, which he marked with places of interest to us. The breakfast was very good, I tried both the full English and the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and they were both yummy, you have to try the homemade jams and marmalades, they are quite rightly award winning. The only thing I can find as a negative is that the breakfast room was right across from ours and you can hear other guests having their food, perhaps it might be an idea to close this at times Bill ? All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely reconciled it.

Host Bill was amazing; great sense of humour and eager to share super tidbits about Stratford’s history. Not just about Shakespeare, either. Look up Marie Corelli! Room was comfortable and bright. And breakfast was delicious! To top it all off, Bill met us at the train station with our luggage just before we departed so we could enjoy a few more hours of sightseeing without being encumbered - thank you Bill!

Just leaving from an overnight stay at Moss cottage,Bill is a charming and helpful host. Lovely breakfast, very handy for a walk into Stratford. Comfortable sleep. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely worth a stopover. Julie Hugh sneddon.

Hemos estado tres días en este Cottage para visitar a nuestro amigo Colín, y la experiencia ha sido fantástica. Las habitaciones amplias, limpias y acogedoras. El trato de lo más cordial. Bill y Peter siempre amables y pendientes de todos los detalles. Desayuno típico inglés de gran calidad, rematado con sus sabrosas y premiadas mermeladas caseras. A quince minutos del centro caminando, este establecimiento es insuperable. Como estar en casa…

Bill was exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us . Nothing was too much trouble , and the homemade marmalade was a delight. He can even do a proper poached egg; so often a let down elsewhere. Only a 15 minute walk into town, a great find that I recommend to anyone visiting Stratford,

Great stay. Bill was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. He was also very informative of the local area. Food was delicious and very good quality. Would highly recommend.

Excellent host, knowledgeable and friendly anticipating guests' needs. A real pleasure to chat to and learn more about Stratford-upon-Avon. Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast tasty and presented with care. Felt very welcome and safe as solo traveller.

Bill is a super host who welcomed us with home made cake and tea. He had much local knowledge and had a super clean B&B topped of by his signature muesli and yoghurt breakfast dish as an alternative to cereal and alongside a cooked breakfast, toast and home made jams and marmalade. Highly recommended and we will, hopefully, be back when the RSC beckons.

What an amazing one night stay at this little gem just outside Stratford , greeted so warmly by the perfect host with tea coffee and outrageously good homemade fruitcake ! We were then treated to some much needed and tremendously helpful local knowledge all which was used and the place’s recommended lived up to Bills great reviews, the perfect veggie breakfast the following morning with another insightful chat with our host rounded off this wonderful mini break , can’t wait to visit again the perfect base when visiting this wonderful town

Bill is the best! We had a medical emergency while staying at Moss Cottage and Bill went above and beyond to help us out. The accommodation was superb and we enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast each morning. We also tasted the tasty jams and marmalades. Thank you Bill.

Booked a one night stay on the basis of price & previous reviews and was certainly not disappointed !!.Bill is a fantastic host, very helpful and you feel that nothing is too much trouble. I was shown to a lovely spacious room with a great bathroom. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the Full English was delicious. Bill offers plentiful tea/coffee re fills along with toast, preserves etc so breakfast really sets you up for the day. His place is truly a 'home from home' and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Moss Cottage to anyone visiting the area.
