SpringHill Suites Houston Sugar Land

I wanted to love this hotel as I have stayed at SpringHill's before. However when we arrived to check in for our 3 night stay at around 8:30pm, they didn't have a room ready for us and we had to wait around 20 minutes for the room. The front desk employee did offer us snacks during our wait. The room did not have enough towels, sofa sleeper cushions were stained as one of the bed comforters. Refrigerator did not work either. On the second day we discovered mold on the ceiling by the window. We were moved to a new room. Customer service was great. The other problem I had was that when making the reservation, the room was advertised as having a trundle bed. That was not the case. None of their rooms have trundle beds according to staff. Breakfast was ok but could be better. On our last morning, they were out of almost everything when we went a little after 8am.

Very good hotel and service

Searched for 3 and 4 star hotels - this property came up in search results, but is clearly a 2 star facility. Was assigned a room next to the elevator - noisy until early in the morning. Breakfast was average - slow to be set up, but staff rushed to shut it down at 10:01 am. AC in room was a little noisy, and red blinking lights on smoke detector above bed were very annoying. Hot water pressure was poor and variable - not okay.

Housekeeping missed our room on our first day of stay. Confirmed with front desk that we’d need our room turned and a note was left on our account to ensure housekeeping would come through on the second day. They did not. Confirmed with front desk that the note was still active on my account, even though our room wasn’t turned over for a second day. Had to go down to the lobby and get my own towels.

We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff were very friendly and the location of the hotel was perfect. We have stayed at this location before and will continue to stay here in the future.

Stayed 3 days and housekeeping didn’t come by once. Had to go to the lobby and get towels myself. Never again, Springhill!

Fast and easy check in. Host offered me a bottle of water- it’s a small gesture, but was so appreciated. Outstanding.

When we arrived at our room the sofa had crumbs on and appeared stained and unclean. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and I had to retrieve some soap from the front desk because there was no staff available except the front desk clerk. On the way out of the hotel my sister almost tripped over a long metal piece near the front door that was supposed to be affixed around the carpet in the enrty way. The front desk clerk was notified of the broken metal piece.
