So if anyone was thinking to visit any of the Sun City Hotels and or Restaurants, avoid at all costs. None of the general areas and or Restaurants have any air-conditioning, unless you appreciate dining at 20h00 in 30 degrees heat. Absolutely pathetic for a resort paying top dollar and receiving sub standard service!

Un passage obligatoire ! Seul petite deception dans la chambre : 1 adulte, 2 ados : le troisieme lit n est pas un vrai lit mais un sofa ... un peu petit pour un ado de 17 ans ! On a dû negocier pour en avoir un plus grand avec matelas et qui au final etait grincant ... on a mis le matelas au sol ( seule deception piur un hotel 5 etoiles). Tout le reste etait formidabllleeeee

Tired, under occupied and felt a shadow of what it used to be. Bar closed early, restaurant very average and reception staff unhelpful, asking for £80 for a 2 hour check out extension when the hotel was almost empty.

Upon check in we were welcomed to 5 star service whereby we had to off load and carry our own luggage. We were then handed the key to our haven for the weekend, located above the restaurant, with the smell of fried chicken wafting through the bathroom. After complaining, we were given the option to move to move to a new room. As we headed to the room the corridor smelt like musty carpets and drains - the perfect precedent to our room which stank of dirty drains and had no functioning extractor in the bathroom. The rooms provide the opportunity for a fun game “The floor is lava” as you work hard to avoid coming into contact with the nasty carpets which appear to be installed around 1993. The hotel must be quite eco friendly and saves electricity and water by not using a vacuum cleaner and leaving the carpets au naturale. Breakfast is reasonable and enjoyable provided you’re willing to stand in a queue because staff are unable to clear tables fast enough, leaving empty dirty tables for up to 15 minutes, ignoring the large queue of guests waiting. Did I mention the mattresses? They are so worn out I’m sure that’s what it feels like to go camping. There’s no amount of complaining that could make your stay more pleasant. The Situation is too far gone - my advice to you is stay home, stay safe.

If one expects a 5 or even 3 star experience I suggest another hotel. Check in is more welcoming at a boarding school or I would hazard to say an air b n b! The rooms are not to five star standards unless five star now means motel on the outskirts of town. The carpets are filthy and stained and the bathroom odor is quite enjoyable to those who are partial to the damp stench of poor plumbing. For breakfast one way enjoy a 45 minute wait with no explanation nor apology. This all is fine, perhaps maintaining a hotel at a basic level of hygiene is way too difficult as is refurbishing to keep at a 5 star level. However, customer service is FREE, if you are accustomed to being treated as a guest perhaps visit your second cousin twice removed unannounced rather than risk this place. Pro tip: if you complain you may receive a room of equal garbage.

Let's start with the gd part it's a beautiful hotel with a great pool, nice breakfast, and gd rooms, so why 3 stars coz they have a worst service and staff r just there to do there work not for helping you in any way, it's a 5 star hotel but they won't provide you plates, spoon or bowls untill you order something, have traveled across the globe but this is the 1st 5star hotel with such a condition on being asked why they said its a hotel policy, the room service manager was rude and when I said I need it to prepare food for my child she was like how many plates you want, who many children are there, after paying all most 4000 rands this is unacceptable gd hotel worst management

Checked in to a room that was apparently ready Bathroom wasn’t cleaned. Urine on the toilet pan.Some sticky sh*t on the bathroom floor. Housekeeping was sent up to clean it and that was it.no apology
