Five months ago, we booked to stay on our way home to Särö from Åre. At 14.30, 30 minutes before our check in opened, we received a phone call that there’ll be a big party with DJ tonight so our sleep will be disturbed. No apology, just an offer of free cancellation. Being the Saturday of week 7 all hotels are fully booked in the region. When I asked why they didn’t give us more notice, I got the answer that they didn’t know how old our children are. I suggested we all need to sleep and that this was the entire purpose of the stay. Still no apology and simply reiterated that’s why they offer the refund. I’ve never before experienced such unacceptable behaviour by a hotel.
