A lot of money for a 1 bedroom very basic too over looking a building site. Blinds that’s have huge gaps between so the construction site lights up your room all night. We stayed Thurs to Sunday and the builders started at 5:30am with loud speakers and cranes I made a complaint by they said sorry we have spoken to the builders as they did it yesterday as well We met lots of people on Luxury Escapes package in the Star. Over $100 less plus breakfast ($40 each) and a $50 voucher per person. Definitely know I am Doing next time. Nowhere to sit by either of the pools and they are saved with towels

The apartment itself is quite good—decent size, a clean toilet, and equipped with everything you need. It was well-maintained and had all the necessary amenities. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. However, dealing with the host, Gold Coast Private Apartments, has been the worst experience I've ever had. They simply ignore about 90% of the messages you send, and when you try to call them, a call center answers and claims they are only there to direct calls, with the consultants always being busy... always. They never bother returning your calls. Shortly after making the payment, I sent messages requesting an early check-in and late check-out. I was left in the dark for days until I had to get Airbnb involved. They responded, saying it would depend on availability, and then proceeded to keep ignoring me. When they do respond, which is a rare occurrence, their messages are also stuffed with loads of advertisements and other unnecessary content—just one simple answer accompanied by a full page of links and other irrelevant stuff. When I finally received a mobile number, I got in touch with a guy who actually provided answers. However, despite his quick responses, he couldn't really do much to help. Upon arriving, the first thing I noticed was the aircon: it displayed in Fahrenheit, not Celsius, and the dials were worn off, making it difficult to set up properly. With some assistance from Google, I finally managed to figure it out, but soon I realized that the vent in the bedroom wasn't functioning correctly. I immediately reached out to the host, who told me that the maintenance team couldn't come until days after my check-out, and they directed me to the booking team (the ones who never reply). After exchanging numerous messages, they simply informed me that I could leave the unit, pay the full price for the days I had already used, and find an alternative on my own. Well, that's nearly impossible. I had booked weeks in advance and couldn't find anything suitable in such short notice. I spent three days there before my girlfriend left for Germany for a whole year. During these three days, I had to sleep in the living room on the sofa, away from her, since I couldn't bear sleeping in the bedroom. The temperature was alright for her, a petite girl, but not for me—a 6.3” 125kg man. I just couldn't stop sweating. It's worth mentioning that Airbnb did provide me with a refund of $150 for the broken aircon. Despite their offer of a nice suite inside the Houston Hotel, I strongly advise avoiding this host like the plague.

Do not stay here... The apartment cleanliness was not fit to stay or sleep in. The service was absolutely atrocious. The check-in requirements were totally unreasonable, rude, a waste of time, difficult, stressful. No one meets with you and you have to drive around town to a different location to collect and drop off keys. They make you do ID checks over the phone with text messages, pictures, phone calls. The apartment wifi did not work. I was able to connect but it had no internet. There were stains on the bed, mattress protector (urine/blood) floor, holes in the wall. no cover of the duvet. No cleaning materials but they expected us to clean everything on departure. Sent many messages to the owner and 3rd party service provider and none of them responded to me. Dirty toilet brushes, dirty oven fans with grease and grim that has been there clearly for months. This place ruined my New Year’s Eve with my wife. Totally unacceptable. They took ZERO ownership of the issues. Offered a lousy 10% refund. Do not stay here.

Advertised as luxury residence but the dinner table wasn't clean when we checked in (soft drink's marks left unclean on the white surface). sink in the main bathroom was blocked (called agent to inform the issue, they said do not use it until they get it fixed but nothing happened during our 5 days stay). Only 2 sets of keys is provided for a 4 bed-room luxury apartment, created problems for people to access lift. No coffee, sugar or coffee machine is provided except a few tea bags. Minimal cooking ware is available in a large kitchen like this. Nothing is appeared as luxury as advertised.

Stayed for 2 nights with friends. The apartment was clean and beautiful. Was on higher floor...with amazing views of the city and sea. The Hotel is right at the heart of Surfers Paradise. About a 90 minute drive from the Gold Coast airport. Will come back for sure.
