Booked 3 months ahead and requested for a high level. Sent multiple messages and emails to their office but only got 1 reply and that was it.No one bothers here and totally no customer service from them.Upon arriving,we got a level 2 and the apartment was in darn bad condition! Pipes were leaking in both bathrooms and they were so rusty that we were sickened out! Our stay was 2-8 Sep '23 Balcony was in dirty condition and looks like no one bothere to scrub it to remove the moulds on the floor. Spoke to reception and the lady that worked was a casual staff and she referred me to her Manager by the name of Gaven.He was not in on a Sunday so I called in on a Monday and he was such a rude person!He cut me off while I was talking before I even requested to change to a better and higher level apartment!I had no idea that someone could be this rude tackling customer's queries! This will be our last stay here.Never ever again we will even consider staying here again!Attaching photos.Understand it is not exactly a new building but the service from the Manager and the cleanliness is atrocious! -100% on everything here and pls stay far away! Book at your own risk!

Never book apartment here via Wise Rentals LLC (Level 54 111 Eagle Street Brisbane Qld 4000). They are really really bad agency you can ever expect. We never experienced such a terrible travel situation like this that before. Why I said that: - They did not give any instruction before we arrived so it took us 2 hours trying to contact them and Agoda (we book via Agoda) to get into the apartment. - They did not even giving excuse but also insulting us - Most of all, they did not return our deposit back at check out (we couldn’t contact them by any means after arrival). They even lied to Agoda that we did not return their keys after check out (which certainly not) in order to explain why they did not return our bond. So please check carefully the name of the agency/company which you intend to hire the apartments at Focus apartments. And never paying in advance, especially with deposit.

We are 100% dissatisfied with this hotel which offers false services. Once the reservation is paid, they tell us that the swimming pool and the ping pong table are out of order. A week later, he tells us that the dishwasher no longer works. We had 5 children with us. Then access to the car park not possible. And the icing on the cake, they take us on deposit of around 180 dollars, in the event of Covid, confinement, and the possibility of deterioration of the equipment, telling us that it will be returned automatically. And without warning they do not return it, because cleaning not done! In a hotel. We call it arranging a flight! Nous sommes 100% insatisfaits de cet hôtel qui propose de fausses prestations. Ensuite accès au parking pas possible. Et cerise sur le gâteau, ils nous prennent en caution d'environ 180 dollars, en cas de Covid, de confinement, et d'éventualité de détérioration du matériel, en nous disant qu'il sera restitué automatiquement. Et sans prévenir ils ne le retournent pas, car ménage non fait ! Dans un hotel. Nous appelons cela organiser un vol !

We worked 4 hours for this hotel on Sunday, June 29th. Despite numerous complaints and only responses like "you will be paid this week" or "you will be paid tomorrow", nothing has been done since then, we have not been paid as promised during our discussions when they offered me this job. We are 2 young backpackers who are simply trying to recover what we are owed but nothing is working. Dishonesty is at its peak. After trying repeatedly to be paid, we have no choice but to explain the situation here. We have contacted Fair Work and the authorities but it does not seem to worry them. I therefore hope to make this hotel react, which scammed us this Sunday, June 29th, so that we can be paid as quickly as possible so that more serious action can be taken against them. Yeah apartments are old and quite outdated but I've never been happier than the 3 yrs I rented here. Everything still works fine, the grounds are maintained beautifully and to wake to those views with nothing but ocean and gorgeous skies... Can't be beat. Glass cutouts mean views from every angle, even staying in bed.

Stayed here for 7 nights, was absolutely appalled with the apartment! Was sad I didn’t review the place first. All windows and doors don’t seal so the wind just blows and howls all day and night! Doors rattle! Even the shower seals leak. Don’t waste your time or money going to this place. Very disappointed

Family friendly accommodation. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. Very spacious and well equipped. We had a separate laundry. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Furniture and fixtures were very adequate but quite well used. We were happy with everything because we got a great price. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool area is great. Spa was clean and warm. Table tennis, a full size tennis court and half court basketball area meant kids had activities to keep them amused. The car park is okay. Only one spot per unit, even for the three bedroom. It seemed clean and secure. Very happy to recommend Focus Appartments.

I have to say I was so excited to stay here and the photos looked great, plus the rating of 4 star was also great. We were actually shocked when we went to our ‘Superior Apartment’, it was horrific! Large chunks of paint peeling and falling off the ceiling, rusted door hinges, door handle falling out of one door, dining chairs all ripped, filthy rugs, marks all over the walls! Since when is that 4 star? I felt sick and so upset. I managed to get a hold of the duty manager (no one else there on weekends) he gave us another apartment which was much better but still not 4 star, maybe a 3. Note …Wifi is patchy if you are on high levels. We then had to move a few days later as those owners were coming to stay. The 3rd apartment was not as good and I don’t consider a cracked bathroom vanity with cigarette burns 4 star either sorry. Wifi was much better as it was a mid-level apartment. To summarise, the views are good, the balconies do block the views though, some have windows in them but you can’t see well out of them. The apartments are all separately owned and don’t all look like the photos provided and the standards obviously vary. Suggest the management review all the apartments and provide 2, 3 & 4 star options for rental on sites. None of our 3 ‘Superior’ apartments were 4 star. We won’t stay here again. The staff were lovely though.

Booked directly to the Focus for 6 nights in Sep 22 asked for high floor NE aspect never was told of works planned at time of booking. Arrived was given low floor NW aspect could hear trams every seven minutes, windows were filthy, bed was well used and at 7.30 am next morning, I was blasted out of bed by industrial drilling which vibrated the entire building. No paying guest should be subjected to that. Told management I wanted out and a refund and was informed that an email was sent to all guests offering a refund or a discount a few weeks before. Focus are hanging of a disclaimer to fool guests out of their money, I challenge them to place their disclaimer on the first page so guest can see it. For the record I was offered a partial refund still not satisfied.

Extremely disappointed with our recent stay. First major issue NO AIRCON!! we are in QLD in the peak of summer on the 23rd floor and no AC in the whole apartment. We resorted to leaving all the sliding doors wide open to try and get a breeze through but this doesn't help with humidity or trying to sleep at night with noise from traffic and ocean. Ceiling fans in rooms but again not sufficient. 2nd issue both single bed bases had broken legs and I had to move both kids mattresses onto the floor as the beds were not level. Our mattress was absolutely terrible, no cushion left in the mattress at all and was sleeping on rocks. We had the worst sleep over the 5 nights we were there. Next this may only seem minor but extremely annoying, the toaster wouldn't work and kept tripping the fuse on the switchboard when trying to use it. I did make contact with reception and explained my issues, in regards to the AC I was told as the building was built in the 70's it was up to the owners if they fitted AC. The kids beds she was going to send someone up the following day to have a look and see what they could do - no one ever came.I did request a change of room but as we were in peak season they were fully booked and nothing could be done. Only positive aspects are Location and View but what good is that when you can't enjoy it. Extremely disappointed.

We stayed at Focus apartments for almost two weeks. The three bedroom apartment was a good size and was pretty well appointed. But it was in need of a thorough professional cleaning as there was mould on the door and window frames, in the bathrooms and in and on the heat pumps, plus the bed linens needed to be replaced as they did not smell clean. Finally our apartment needed some maintenance as there was evidence of years worth of wear and tear on the walls, doors and door frames. The location is great however and is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and cafes and the sea is just across the road. The pool area and grounds were well maintained.

We booked a 3-bedroom apartment over 9 nights and I was disappointed that we did not get the ocean views advertised and requested. If I had known this we would have booked elsewhere. The apartment however was clean although the handles were falling off the kitchen cupboards and a few essentials like a simple can opener were missing. On our third day we asked where the vax was and told our apartment didn't get one.

Had a booking for 9 nights. 1st night continued hammering from the floor above us until 3am. Complained to management next morning and asked if there was renovations and was advised no. Management said they would investigate. They never came to check in with us. After 4 nights we pulled the pin and checked out. Upon check out wasn’t even asked why we were leaving. Wouldn’t recommend unless you can sleep with lots of noise. Oh and it’s right next to the tram line to so that noise is the worst as well

Loved it! Apartment 75. Great views, both to the coast and the hinterland. Well appointed kitchen, lounge and two bathrooms, the apartment was three bedrooms with two queen beds and two singles. Staff were excellent. Focus is an apartment block with an old school vibe. However the unit was furnished well which included a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer etc and pretty much everything you need! The only downside was one car park per apartment. We had two families so one group had to find a park on the street. Not worth removing a star for that though!
