“Not Value for money”
I prefer when people give practical reviews so I’d like to do that here.
The Hotel is in a great location, with a great exterior and friendly staff but that’s it.
It’s unfortunately not a place for friends or young couples.
We stayed in a comfort room and paid per person
The rooms have no wow effect. And felt more like a standard room.
Strong points: 1)sea view 2)bathtub
Weak points: 1)overpriced - price is per person not per room 2) no amenities- old tv, no spa or gym, no lounge 3) poor breakfast.
The staff was so friendly and helpful but there’s a difference between hospitality and friendliness. Hope they can improve on this.
I recommend for 1 person only and for one night only.
We recently spent 2 nights at this boutique hotel. The location is great, within walking distance of the oceanfront, restaurants, souvenir shops, grocery stores, lighthouse, street market. The reception staff is very helpful and their breakfast is the best! We used their laundry service which was very efficient and fairly priced. The room was comfortable and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the bathroom. The bathroom sits on a higher level and is part if the room. No walls around it. The toilet has a door and the shower is enclosed, but when you step out of the shower to grab your towel etc, you're ”in” the room.
We spent two nights in this hotel during our Namibia holiday. The hotel has its own secured parking space. The balcony of our room faced the road and a busy parking lot so there was no way of using it. Unfortunately there was no balcony facing the nice courtyard. Room was clean and the size was o.k. too. There was a floor lamp on the right side of the bed which was flickering when turned on. At night couldn’t open the window due to the noise. Buses reversing or waiting with the motor full on. [There is a ****** there]. Apart from the above shortcomings, some of which , understandably, the hotel cannot help, the hotel was o.k. What really stood out was the attitude of the breakfast room staff and the reception. One receptionist in particular appeared to be bored, disinterested and even when directly addressed couldn’t be bothered to help the guests as in when asked if she could recommend a cafe nearby. The breakfast room staff on the other hand were very friendly, doing a great job. The breakfast was also good, including as one guest has already mentioned, Oysters and sparkling wine
