菲欣納度假村(Freycinet Resort)

Very beautiful place with amazing views and fantastic service.

It has the feel of an 80’s old European ski lodge. No food on site unless you want 2 min noodles and a coke from a vending machine. Not pots or cooking utensils in the kitchen. No effort at all in making the guest comfortable, have stayed in better caravan park cabins. Way too expensive for what it offers.

Was in a beautiful area. Super long driveway on dirt. (Tricky in the rain) woke up to incredible sunrise from our very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast (not buffet as stated) was really yum plenty of choices. The only real disappointment and reason why we wouldn’t go back was the bathroom was extremely small. The rooms are not resort quality they are actual dongers. Was a bit misleading. We slept well just not what we expected.

Once known as the Eco resort this resort has amazing views. They are absolutely great HOWEVER. Access is via a 4km dirt rough road and the vehicle of choice IMO is an SUV it took us over 13 mins each way and the distance to Coles Bay is another 10 from there We took luxury sedans and we were stressed each time we left the resort. It's also quite remote and far from the already small village of Coles Bay The cabins are cute but very small. The shower is smaller than one on a cruise ship. The bathroom is obviously cramped. It's suited for travellers with backpacks and not 2 suitcases like us. The breakfast was ok. Mainly carbs. No eggs no bacon or salmon We found it expensive for what it is If you seek remoteness and isolation it's perfect. They are in the process of extending the resort so the roads are atrocious getting in . Be careful of animals at nightine if driving in

This place is NOT a resort.When checking in and attempting to book for dinner after a long drive ,we were told we would have to do another 30 km round trip for dinner and get some fresh drinking water. The dy after checking out we received an email explaining what they actually offered.Bit late. It is a Wilderness Retreat and to trade as a Resort is a scam.

We booked this “Resort” and expected to have dinner and fresh water.On arrival we were told it was another 30 km round trip to book dinner and more buy fresh water,other than the small bottle they provided. This accomodation is a Wilderness Retreat and should be advertised as such. One day after complaining and checking out they sent a note explained what type of accomodation they really were.

Posting for a friend who could not post. I would not normally do this … I tried to put a review on the Freycinet Resort at Coles Bay Tasmania but somehow I found it impossible! So I’ll put my review here. Resort is in word only ! It was out of town on a dirt road & no restaurant ! The cabins had two hot plates in the kitchen but no utensils or pots or pans to cook with! There was a micro oven ! There was also a dispensing machine at reception with 2 minute noodles available ( great RESORT food!) while we could cope with all of this, the hot water was also in name only! We spent 3 nights there (pre/paid so we had no choice but to stay!) Hot water, maybe tepid! We informed reception the first day & we were informed that they would arrange for the care taker to address it. Second day no change! Third day shower started with the just tepid water then ended in freezing cold water ( half way through shampooing my hair!) . So people if thinking on booking this “RESORT “ after reading their web sight think again! Oh yes there is a BBQ on the side of the hill with great views … no cover , no utensils for BBQing & no cover if it’s raining, which it was when we were there! It’s a con , unless you like “glamping” at a high cost!
