So, after looking at the prices in Sydney, we were looking for something basic. We had never been to Sydney before, so was very happy with location. It is next to a food store. Walking to the beach. The rooms a large, clean and basic. Would do it again. Could not hear bar downstairs.

The motel unit we stayed in was recently refurbished so was like new. The unit was reasonably quiet at night for a weekend. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach via parkland.

The room was above the hotel yet it was very quiet on the Friday night we stayed.
The room was very clean and tidy and the bathroom was nice and bright. There was a small balcony with seating.
The hotel is located in a small suburban shopping ***** including a Chemist, and Metro Woolworths.
Our dinner at the Southend Hotel was superb.

Great for a couple of nights. Bistro inside the pub reasonably priced. Little supermarket next door. Verandah off room so convenient of your a smoker or vaper. Beds a little old. But great stay and would stay again.

The photo shown is that if the "pub" entrance not the accommodation entrance. Somewhere it should indicate, lots of stairs, no lift! I have a bad knee, so I found it very hard walking up and down the stairs, plus the bannister was wobbly. Parking is in the shopping centre grounds. Old hotel redone as a great Irish Pub!

Reasonably priced place to stay. Pub downstairs has great food. Rooms were very clean. Overall a pleasant experience and would highly recommend staying here.
